„This cabin was a wonderful place to stay! It was quiet except for the sound of birds in the woods. The interior of the cabin was clean and well furnished; the bed was especially comfortable. While we didn't make use of the fire pit, the screened porch was our favorite place to sit day or night. Although it might have been too early for them, we felt relaxed on the porch knowing we wouldn't be attacked by mosquitoes or other bugs. It was easy to take our dog out for a walk on the back roads ...

„This was honestly everything we hoped it would be! Beautiful landscape, river access, plenty of space at the Captains Lodge to relax and enjoy yourself or play games with the family. We enjoyed the entire stay! Internet was not great, but also we were fine with unplugging and just enjoying the nature. Would recommend to anyone who enjoys playing in the river and having BBQ and campfires with the comfort of an amazing house to rest your head (:“

„The location was minutes from Skyline Drive and we were close to tons of hiking. Front and back yard were both fenced and great for my niece and my dogs. House was super clean and had everything we needed. Only suggestion is a bigger couch or more seating in the living room. It was a little tight trying to relax at night in front of the TV.“

It was maculate queen and I am a queen freak they had everything you could think of out never saw one bug. They had a fireplace, hot tub. Make sure you turn on the hot tub as soon as you get there if you want to get in, they had a movie theater The bed so comfy with great sheets ! „Old farmhouse with upgrades. The pool and hot tub were fantastic - pool is huge with a nice shallow end for kids and deep end with diving board. The kitchen was stocked on plates, silverware, glassware, but could definitely use a few more basics like larger sheet pans and mixing bowls for big family meals. The host Helen was great, sent us information on places in the area to eat, attractions, things to do, etc. She also left us some breakfast danishes and a few new squirt guns for the kids. ...

„We loved our stay at Twin Ponds. Our young children spent hours fishing and running around outside. We didn't have to argue with them about screentime because they were too busy to think about tablets. Everything was clean and maintained from the home, the estate, and the trails. We particularly enjoyed the menagerie as well. Great getaway for a family.“
