Perfect, beautiful location and home for get-away
The property is at a beautiful location with a great view of the meadow by the lake. There's a great short trail that takes you through the meadow that we walked a couple of times. The home is very comfortable, very cleanly maintained, and has everything you need. Really appreciated nice touches like have bbq coals ready for us. Small but well-stocked kitchen.

Fantastic little hideaway with a great view

Great Stay for weekend wedding
Perfect house for our family to stay for a lovely weekend wedding of our nephew! Loved the extra touch of having fireplace ready with kindling and newspaper. Beds were all very comfortable!

Cozy!
We love Chester! This was our first time staying in a VRBO while visiting Chester (and visiting this late in the season). The house was so cozy with beautiful views. We had a really relaxing visit and stayed warm with the wood stove. All of the board games, kitchen supplies, BBQ, etc. were so convenient. Our hosts have an easy check in and check out process. This laid back weekend was exactly what we were hoping for.

A piece of paradise!
What a beautiful, peaceful sanctuary! A friend and I needed a recharge and this was perfect! The cabin is so cute! Clean and luxurious with a view that can't be beat! Patti was such a pleasure to deal with and so responsive to our questions! We can't wait to come back!

A quiet, comfortable place to stay
covered sitting area off the main room downstairs has a terrific view—meadow, the lake and mountains beyond. We took advantage of the warm weather and the outside space when we weren’t out exploring the area. There’s a grocery store in town and plenty of cooking supplies (utensils, pots, pans and dishes) in the kitchen (we ate out on one of the 4 nights). We walked down to the local bike store and rented bikes for a few hours. Directions for entry were provided ahead of arrival. The hosts checked in to make sure we arrived. Instructions and information about the house and area were on the kitchen counter on arrival. There’s a TV in the main room downstairs and in each of the 3 bedrooms. One bedroom and a bath on the first floor, two bedrooms and a second bath upstairs.

We were very pleased with our stay and the house was perfect for our group. Great parking for our truck and boats. Beautiful view of the pasture leading to Almanor Lake. Will definitely recommend this house to others and will look forward to returning myself.

Comfy home away from home
My husband and I had an excellent stay and enjoyed all the snow. Patti did an amazing job clearing the snow on the driveway and porch. Communication and check-in were superb. There was plenty of wood and kindling to build a fire each night. The kitchen was well stocked with condiments, spices, and many extras if you are interested in cooking while you are there. Great location for visiting Lassen Volcanic National Park and going into town. If you are in the area, this is the place to stay!

Cozy Cabin
We stayed here while visiting Lassen Volcanic NP. The home was very clean and Patti was great at communicating with me, checking in on us via text. Beds were comfortable and kitchen was small but had everything we needed for a few meals we had there. The view behind the cabin is spectacular and I highly recommend going for a sunset stroll and checking out the historic barn near the property.

We used Patti’s place as a base for exploring Lassen Volcanic National Park. Clean, comfortable, had everything we needed. Really enjoyed sitting outside in the evenings watching the birds, and what a great view! Quiet location. Fantastic star-gazing! Due to COVID we did not eat out, but there is a supermarket a few minutes away. Patti provides a variety of games; we enjoyed playing Scrabble. Overall a good experience and I would stay again.

An absolute gem
My family of 6 thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. First of all, the cabin was absolutely sparkling clean when we arrived. We loved the decor of the home, it immediately made us feel at home. We enjoyed all the amenities that the property offered, including the charcoal grill and the wood burning fire pit in the backyard. And speaking of the backyard, what an awesome view of Olsen Meadow and barn. Second, the location of the cabin served as a perfect base to the region- within 30 minutes is Lassen Volcanic National Park and another hour from that is Burney Falls and Subway Cave. After spending two full days exploring those sights, we were glad to come home to the cabin and the beautiful small town of Chester. We absolutely loved our 5 night stay!

Great place right on the edge of Chester. Very quiet area with a nice view. Easy to get into town. The purpose of our visit was to explore Lassen, but great proximity to the lake as well. House was clean with spacious bedrooms.
