Wonderful holiday

We came from Germany and spent 11 days with our family as we brought our daughter who is participating in an exchange student program with Washington College in Chestertown. We had a wonderful time at the house as it is cozy and modern at the same time. The house and the kitchen especially is well equiped for really everything you need. We used the kayaks and spent a lot of time relaxing at the dock. It is a wonderful place at the water, and even the wifi connection works perfectly down there. Communication with John was great! He was always quick to responding to our questions and even changing our dates quite a while before arriving was not an issue. There was no need to contact him during our stay because everything was fine. If you need a supermarket, there is also a Redner's market in Chestertown. We enjoyed our visit to this nice and clean house very much.

Lovely Design & Appointments

I would love to return to this property in the summer. I will bet it is a BLAST. Designed for very comfortable outdoor living. It winter it's a cozy little retreat. The quiet is amazing. Some days the only sound are the leaves gently rustling. And when the ducks land, it's an event. Well stocked kitchen. Comfortable beds. Beautiful view. Visitors should be agile on stairs or uneven ground. Thanks for a great time.

Quiet on the river

Very nice house right on a wide creek that leads out to the Chesapeake. Super clean, modern, and very well stocked. We spent most of our time on the kayaks provided paddling or floating. Host was extremely responsive and the property was very well kept and quiet. If you want to get away from it all for a few days and like the water and watching birds, this is a great place.

Wonderful Vacation Home

The home is perfectly located to experience nature on the waterfront with wonderful views. The home is fully equipped with everything and very comfortable. Our couple of friends from France truly enjoyed the espresso machine. We all enjoyed kayaking and fishing. We absolutely recommend anyone who loves nature to stay here.

John is the most responsive and accommodating host I've come across over several years now. We had a couple of unusual situations that many hosts would not have been willing to address. Wonderful getaway in a great setting

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful and well-equipped home. We loved the combination of being in the woods yet overlooking the water. We were looking for peace and quiet and happily, that's what we got. The floor to ceiling windows with great views and the very comfortable furnishings were a lovely to come home to after daily outdoor adventures. Having the kayaks was an extra added treat. We ended each day with Happy Hour on the dock. John was a friendly, helpful, and responsive host. We will return again to this gem.

Beautiful, modern home in a quiet neighborhood on a creek. Excellent communications with the owner. Kitchen had everything you would need. Very enjoyable to sit out on the deck in the morning having coffee & bird watching. Hummingbirds came to the feeder on the deck. The house was very clean and had lots of natural light. There was a cute, historic downtown about 15 minutes away. We enjoyed our stay.

Enjoyable stay

Spent an enjoyable long weekend in this lovely house with great views of the water from every room. We made good use of the kayaks paddling out to the bay and back fishing along the way. The check in process was quick and John was, as others have mentioned, very responsive to any questions. The kitchen did not lack anything we needed and the wi-fi signal was good. We enjoyed our time there.

Total Reset & Relaxation

We found this cute spot looking for a place to stay for our friends wedding. We didn’t know anything about the area and were beyond pleasantly surprised at how sweet and cozy this home was. All the glass & windows, the water, the trees. Everything was perfect and more needed then me and my partner even knew. As business owners, pulling time away from the grind is rare but so necessary. We will be def be coming back to our new favorite spot to escape a little and connect. Place was immaculate with everything for cooking labeled & plenty of towels stocked. Felt like home right a way!

One of our Favorite Places to Visit

We love visiting this home on the water. The nature is abundant and the views are amazing. It's our 2nd time here and we loved it even more. A fantastic place to stay

We highly recommend this well-stocked house, which sits high above a creek, a perch that allows views of everything from bald eagles to yellow-rumped warblers. Kayaks are a plus and the roads nearby are great for biking.

Lovely getaway

Our family of four enjoyed this beautiful house with great views. The house was very clean and fully stocked with everything we needed- it really feels like a home away from home. We saw tons of birds, some wild turkeys, and even deer. We also enjoyed taking the kayaks out for a spin. Historic Chestertown is a short drive away with nice restaurants and cute shops. The homeowner was really great with communicating.

Our Favorite Rental

Wonderful hosts, and most most beautiful vacation rental. We love it so much that this was our second stay. The house is expertly designed by a renowned architect, and the outdoor areas have all of the amenities that you could ever need. Our favorite space is the screened porch with the large flat screen tv. 10/10, would stay many times again!
