The beautiful home includes and enclosed patio which overlooks a beautiful scenic wooded area on a large wooded lot with direct access to Local Park which boasts the largest inland pond in Lake County. Features a fireplace,fishing, grills, paved trails, bicycling, playground, electricity and more. This two story cottage has three bedrooms and comfortably sleeps 4-7 guests, however, can accommodate up to 8 with additional bedding available, just make sure to inquire with us before booking. Both Bedrooms on 1st floor have their OWN PRIVATE BATH. That’s right - No more sharing with others! Who wants to do that when you’re on vacation? We agree - that’s why each bedroom has its own full bathroom equipped with complimentary toiletries.

The Main Floor Main Bedroom has a King size bed and walk-in closet with on-suite. Main floor Second Bedroom has two Twin xl beds which convert to a King size depending on guest preference. This room also includes large closet and on-suite. Upstairs Third Bedroom includes a Queen bed and Twin bed with bathroom and additional closet space.

All new kitchen cabinets, countertops, appliances, hardwood flooring throughout first floor, with carpeting upstairs.

The kitchen area opens up to an enclosed seating area with plenty of additional dining areas including a lounge area and TV viewing area. This is quite possibly our favorite room in the house and has been confirmed as a fan favorite by many of our guests.

There are a number of games and game spaces available throughout the house.

For the patio area, we offer a beautiful fire pit area with chairs as well as dining table and picnic table which allows for plenty of seating and lounging or just playing games.

The backyard area is fenced in for protection and security of your dog or little ones as well. We are dog friendly, with a max of 2 dogs. We simply ask that you clean up after your pet while you’re here. We also provide additional sheets for covering the furniture as well as dog bowls just in case!

For the boat lovers, Mentor Harbor Yacht Club is less than a mile away for boat slips and our cottage has a big driveway to allow boat parking while you’re here!

After a day of visiting Fairport Harbor Beach and stopping at Scooters Hot Dogs, come back to the house and light an amazing campfire sit around eating marshmallows and enjoy the outside dining area complete with dining table and plenty of seating!

Located near shopping, grocery stores and entertainment, just 20 minutes to downtown Cleveland, the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame, Cavaliers, Indians, Monsters hockey and Browns Stadium. Minutes to Mentor Harbor Yacht Club as well as local wineries, area beaches including Headlands State park and Fairport Harbor Beaches. Just a short 35 minute drive to Geneva on the Lake.

For the SNOW LOVERS, this is a great location for accessing area ski resorts, cross country skiing and other winter activities.

Located within 20 minutes of major hospitals including Cleveland Clinic, University Hospitals.

Great home
Wir hatten eine schöne Zeit im Ferienhaus. Es fehlte nichts, das Haus war perfekt ausgestattet. Es gab ein paar Kleinigkeiten zur Begrüßung. Die Vermieter haben uns Kaffee, Tee, Kekse zur Verfügung gestellt. Außerdem gab es für unsere Jungs eine sehr persönliche kleine Aufmerksamkeit. Es war ein schönes willkommen. Das Haus war sehr groß und super sauber.

Charming house
We stayed at this property while in town for a funeral - it proved to the perfect place for our family. The hosts were responsive and friendly. It was one of the best stocked rental properties I’ve stayed at, including a little coffee area and lots of family friendly games. It felt warm and cozy and we will definitely stay here again the next time we visit the area.

Wow! Even better than expected.
This property had everything you could want and more. We were there for family/holiday visits, but truly, could have never left the house and been happy. Clean, comfortable, spacious, safe, well appointed, well located, great outdoor space. Our kids were bragging to the rest of the family and my grandkids had a great time with the games provided when they came to visit. We/our dogs really appreciated the extensive walking trails and the fenced back yard. We unfortunately left a day early due to impending snow event, but gave some serious thought to asking for an extension to just hang for another few days alone, since our adult children had already left. We highly recommend; hosts Karen and George provided all information necessary and were very responsive, too.

We are a group of 3 couples who do a Friends Weekend once a year. This was our 5 stay together. We had a fantastic time at Sentimental Stay. What a great house!! Everything exceeded our expectations. George & Karen thought of everything. We arrived to a personally written welcome note & a box of treats from a local bakery. The home is spectacularly clean & beautifully decorated. The amenities & personal touches were top-notch all throughout the home. Beyond expectations!
Sentimental Cottage is beautifully done and well thought out for guest comfort and accessories for personal needs and functionality in the cottage. We would definitely love to stay in the future. There are also a park and walking trails behind the property that are very well maintained and safe. The Host communication was excellent! Responsive, informative, and timely. We also chartered a fishing trip with Chagrin Valley Charters—you will never be disappointed by Captain Nick (owner/operator) all around great family trip! Thank you George and Karen!

Absolutely perfect!!
I don't think I could say enough good things about our stay at this wonderful property! We were ready to move in after one weekend there! It had absolutely everything we needed. We will 100% be booking here again for future visits. Here is a rundown of how well this location fit our various needs: Grandma (80s): Especially because of mobility issues, she loved that everything she needed was located on the first floor. Other than entering and exiting or wanting to go out on to the LOVELY porch room, she was able to get around very easily on her own. It was also nice for her to have a bathroom to herself. Mom/Dad (50s): Our favorite room was the porch room. We had lovely spring/summer weather while we were there, but being able to turn on air and still have the outside light and views was wonderful. We also loved how stocked the kitchen was with items we could use to cook at home. The back patio with outdoor seating was a lovely surprise! We thought there was only a firepit area. Having BOTH was awesome. Daughter (20s): She loved having a space to herself upstairs AND a shower of her own. She appreciated that there was a fan waiting in that room for extra air movement. Dog: He loved having a backyard which was fenced in making it both safe and homey. He was very happy to be included in the trip and grateful he was accepted in the house :) He couldn't smell that any other guests had been there, because the house was so clean and sparkly! Awesome spot!

Very clean and lovely interior. Loved the two master bedrooms on the first floor with their own baths. Wonderful screened/heated porch overlooking the yard. Wonderful Dog Friendly Stay in Mentor OH
We had a wonderful experience at this home. It was truly dog friendly with dog covers for couches/chairs, dog towels near the door to the outside and fully fenced yard. The house was in a good location, was very clean with easy instructions available throughout the home. We would recommend this home and we will also stay here in the future.
