Wonderful Stay
This property is great, it has great space, things for the little ones to do, yard games, and a great location to the lake and golf course. The stay would be even better once the details are worked out to have better access to the lake. The use of the pier would be amazing and the ability to use the little beach area would be nice. However, our family rented a pontoon to access the sand bar, which was amazing! This house has a foam "lily pad" that we took with us on the pontoon and the kids loved it at the sandbar. Overall, this was a great experience and the property owners are great to communicate with and are quick to respond to any questions!

Loving Iyopawa Island
We absolutely loved everything about our stay on Iyopawa Island. Lived in Michigan all my life, never been to Coldwater or heard of Iyopawa. EVERY home on this island was pristine, beautiful and well cared for. Family friendly and very quiet as noted. Can't tell you how many times we walked, ran and golf carted around the island. Saw something different every time. Golf course was perfect course, plenty of tee times, fast greens and well kept. We rented pontoon from Coldwater Lake Marina. Great day on the quite shallow lake, perfect for the little ones to play in the water. The home was perfect for our family both inside and out. Besides my hubby and I we had our three daughters with their spouses and 2 little grandchildren. Plenty of bed spaces and a whole other living area under the main floor that made a great play area for the kids...so cozy. Perfect accommodations and quick responses to my questions. We made many, many family memories and made full use of the wood deck and fire pit.

Weekend getaway
We had a great weekend. We enjoyed this beautiful home. Relaxed in the backyard, hung out at the beach and enjoyed all the comforts of home without being home. Took walks around the island and rides on the golf cart. So enjoyable!!!!

Iyopawa Getaway
We loved the house. We had two families of 4 and it worked great. Location was perfect. Response and communication was wonderful from our hosts. We would absolutely go again. Great selection of toys and stuff for small children if needed too!

Coldwater Lakes 2023
We were very pleased with our 4 night weekend. Only improvements we suggest involve lack of soap/shampoo, old frying pan and the front balcony only holding 4 people. Perhaps we should have known about the soap and shampoo situation but ? The balcony could easily be strengthened with joist straps, joist blocking and pilar arms. We are into building construction. We hope to return next year as kids loved the beach! Regards, Ed

A Perfect Family Get-Away!

Lovely lake house
We stayed at this lovely lake house in March, so we cannot speak much for the summer experience, but I imagine it would be lovely. This home was located on Iyopawa island, a few hundred yards from coldwater lake. There is beach access about a 2 minute walk from the home. It it currently covered is boat lifts, but I imagine it's a nice, quaint beach in the summer. The owners were excellent and responsive. The beds were comfortable, and the cottage was nicely updated. I am always curious about a homes layout, so here it is: enter to the lower level entryway with a staircase up to the main level. On the lower level is a large family room. It wasn't really useable for our purposes, but may be useable for other families. There is a TV and 2 couches in this lower level family room. Past the family room is a utility/laundry room that leads to the garage. Up the stairs, there is a large opened living room/dining room/kitchen table, all connected. This is a great space, with table space for 11+. The living room has a huge picture window to the lake, with a balcony. The view is lovely. Off the dining room you will find a small bedroom with 2 twin beds, a hall full bathroom, and a master king bedroom with an a full attached bath. Past the dining room and kitchen table is a small, but very usable open kitchen space. Past the kitchen there is a door to the back yard and the last two bedrooms, both are a good size. Great stay overall!

We liked this place a lot. It had a lot of necessities that you would be glad to have in any place you stay, but typically aren’t included. We went out and played golf right behind the house. Nice view of the lake.

Great house in great location!
This is a great little house on what feels like a private island. Golf course had tons of character and was in great shape. Communication with the homeowners was incredible! My family loved staying here, golfing, and enjoying the lake views. Will absolutely book again!

In an island neighborhood
A lovely stay in many ways - the house is clean, the beds comfortable, and it has a nicely stocked kitchen. We weren't expecting quite such a dense neighborhood though, nor the very limited access to the lake in the area. There is indeed a "beach" we could use, but on the holiday weekend (Labor Day) it was full of others who weren't overly friendly. It seemed some of the neighbors weren't too thrilled with their quiet island being invaded. The place is large enough, but the downstairs is underutilized, dark and cold. Some more lamps (or working ceiling lights) and tables would help there immensely! The hosts were great though, and it was good to get away together.

Fabulous spot!
This home is roomy and easily accommodates a large group, with an open floor plan, terrific beds, and all the comforts of home. The fire pit and ample outside seating (out back) and front porch looking towards the lake were bonuses. Katie was quickly helpful when we had an issue upon arrival. Our family is looking forward to returning sometime in the future!

The most beautiful and relaxing stay!
I absolutely loved my entire time here! I stayed here with my family and it was all we expected and more! The hosts are so generous for allowing us to stay in their perfect lake cottage and we’re so easy to talk and communicate with. I plan on being back next summer and look forward it! Beautiful view lake house
This lake house is exactly as pictured. It was very nice and accommodating for a large family like mine. As a grandma I appreciated all of the extras for the little ones. There's always so much to pack so having the pack and plays and high chair was definitely a bonus. This is a beautiful well kept property and neighborhood. I also liked having plenty of beds for everyone without any of them being bunk beds, which wouldn't be safe for our little ones. The beach was just a short walk and perfect! There is a nice big area for kids to play in the sand. I loved how clean and clear the water was, plus it was shallow for quite a distance so very safe for everyone. The canoe was an added bonus. All of our family enjoyed taking a ride in it. Very nice property for families!
