We would definitely go back! AWESOME staff! :-)
We stayed there for my son's graduation from basic training first week of April 2013. The hotel staff was wonderful - all of them!! Very friendly and accommodating! And we were impressed with the breakfast! Beds were pretty comfortable. And we really liked that it is 100% smoke free hotel and pets are allowed.
Overall the rooms were nice and clean, however around the microwave it was quite dusty and clearly not just from a few days. That's why we didn't give 5 points on that - would have given 4.5 if I could have.
The bathroom could use a little touch-up/renovation. The door hinges were a little rusty, the wallpaper next to the shower starting coming off a little from the moisture and the shower/tub stall shows clear signs of age and usage. But it was clean and that's what counts. ;-)
The hotel is also conveniently located around Shoneys and Waffle House in walking distance and there are more restaurants, etc and shopping areas just down the road. If you're going there for graduation: you'll be at the main gate in minutes.
We enjoyed our stay and if I was to come back to Columbia/Fort Jackson I would certainly stay there again - and recommend it to friends and family any time.
