Big Bear Lodge Retreat where friends & families gather and meet!

Experience Northern Michigan at it's best! Amazing views from beautiful 3 level log home on the 15th tee at Cedar Valley Golf Course. Full custom kitchen, laundry facility, great room with 23' ceilings, large family room, 2 Gas fireplaces, spacious decks, and attached 3 car garage. Will be decorated for Christmas the whole month of December & part of January.

Plenty of room to spread out in this 3200 sq. ft. three level home. Large deck and patio with large firepit outside. Enjoy cooking outdoors with our Weber Grill and a 36" Blackstone Griddle Grill - perfect for making a variety of either breakfast, lunch or dinner meals on the Griddle! Enjoy our Hot Tub on lower patio off LL bathroom door with Bluetooth outdoor speakers. 8 Beach towels & 4 robes available for use.
Power Outages - Should you experience bad weather that causes a power outage in the area - no problem with our whole house generator that will keep you up and running like nothing happened allowing you to keep your vacation stay going!
Security Devices on Property - We have a Ring Doorbell on the main entry door on the porch that has video and audio recording capability. This is used for security purposes and also to allow us the ability to communicate with guests upon arrival if they have any problems entering the cabin upon check in.

Beautiful cabin get away
This cabin was absolutely amazing, very family friendly. The attention to detail was absolutely wonderful. We all definitely loved waking up and having coffee on the porch. We will be planning another family vacation here soon.

Great getaway!
Struggled a little with the keypad getting in, but after that it was smooth sailing! Lots of space, FULLY stocked kitchen, coffee bar, S’mores bar, fire pit, games, books, just so much fun for a group of teenage girls. Highly recommend.

Family Vacation
We spent a family vacation here over memorial day weekend. The property is great. Very spacious and quiet. It is stocked with everything you could need and then some. The owners are very accommodating. They made sure we had everything we needed and gave us advice on things to do in the area. We will definitely be returning.

The property is beautiful. The top deck is great for sitting out and relaxing on. The blackstone was great for grilling out and the seating options were amazing. There was a great selection of rooms for everyone. The kitchen had everything you would need. The main floor and bottom floor were great for hanging out. The hot tub and fire pit were easy to use. The access to the bottom floor bathroom was awesome. Overall a great place to go for a relaxing weekend and get away.

Second time here! Enjoyed our stay again and the property owner was great to work with. Only complaint was dirty sheets was left on one of the beds which was the cleaning service fault but not a big deal. Would definitely stay again.

Good times in a great place
Our group has been staying at this property since 2012 and have lots of great memories here. It’s always been a great place in a fairly remote location, but the new ownership has taken the place up a few notches in quality and comfort. If you are looking for a place to rest, cook, eat, drink, and be together in comfort, this is it.

This place was exactly like the photos shown and so much more! It was very clean and tidy upon our arrival. There was more than enough living space to accommodate our group of 14. We really loved that there was a living space on all 3 levels, and the basement was a walkout so it didn’t feel like a “basement.” The hot tub was incredible! Overall cannot say enough good things about this place and the hosts.

The Perfect Getaway
This beautiful lodge was the most peaceful, lovely gathering space for my group of friends to enjoy! The lodge has everything you could need for making meals, relaxing and sleeping peacefully. The property is gorgeous, and we especially enjoyed the big porch with the comfy swings and the hot tub. Brian was prompt to answer any questions and a very welcoming host. It was perfect for our group of 12. I wouldn't hesitate to book this treasure again! I will also note the lack of taxidermy - which is refreshing for a cabin up north!

Fabulous experience
We held a yoga retreat in this beautiful space with ample room for everyone. We made and shared all of our meals at the lodge. The kitchen was perfect for our group. The lodge was such a beautiful warm and cozy setting for holding a yoga retreat. Thank you to Brian and Sigrid for being helpful hosts.

Remote family bliss
Such a good experience, fantastic views, comfortable surroundings, away from the hustle and bustle of crowds and traffic overlooking evergreens and a golf course with a fireplace ablaze, puzzles and card games with the family while cookies bake in a fully stocked kitchen in an open floor concept. Plenty of beds and bedrooms on the upper floor as well as the basement with a walk out area directly to a hot tub and blue tooth speakers right nearby to relax in some bubbles with your favorite tunes within reach while watching the snow fall.

Winter Getaway
We had an amazing time at this cabin! The house was well stocked with many adorable details. This cabin easily accommodated our group which consisted of 4 families! There was ample room for all to enjoy. Outdoor hot tub had great access through the lower level bathroom which included slippers, robes, towels and Bluetooth speakers. 2 grills and a Blackstone is handy for large group meal planning too. Both lower/upper level TV’s fridge and coffee makers made the space very flexible for both night owls and early birds. Kids busted out sleds provided by owner and made a sledding hill they enjoyed for days! We rent homes often and rarely rebook. We plan to rebook this little winter getaway!

New year started off right!
We booked the big bear lodge to surprise my daughter for her 16th birthday. The owners were beyond accomodating and made our stay so easy. We booked months in advance, any time I needed to communicate any questions or concerns I was answered very quickly. The place itself was absolutely perfect!! So much room to either spread out and have your own space. Or come together to eat or enjoy family time. We had everything we could have needed and so much more. We didn't get a chance to take advantage of the fire pit... but the hot tub was a huge hit!! Was hoping to book a summer time spot but looks like this place books up way in advance. Understandabley. Didn't wanna leave and can't wait to go back!

Amazing property
Big Bear Lodge Retreat is completely as advertised. The property was easy to access, immaculate, and so, so homey! Plenty of room for our very large family, with something for everyone. And when they say the kitchen is fully stocked, they aren't kidding. We didn't need to worry about a thing. Games are available for every age group, and there is plenty of space to take walks, sit by the fire, or enjoy the hot tub. Definitely 5 stars, and the whole family agreed that we would come back again if we need a large gathering space again. Big thanks to Brian and Sigrid for being such wonderful, communicative hosts!

Birthday milestone
The house was just as described! Perfect setting and beautiful in and out! Very clean! The house was well stocked with spices and all the other things that you might need. I’ve never stayed in a VRBO where they provided coffee, sugar, and cream so it was much appreciated, even thou we provided our own. The host was very helpful and was easy to contact if we had any questions! We would recommend staying at this beautiful home!
