We rented from July 4th through July 7th but ended up leaving on July 6th. The house was entirely too hot! The thermostat reached 78 degrees in the house every day we were there. The air unit apparently couldn’t keep up with the outside temperatures. We went and bought a box fan but it only offered a little relief. Our dogs were panting from it being so hot inside the house. The house cooled down only around 1am in the morning. We contacted the host who was responsive but offered no solution other than turn thermostat up to 70 degrees which we did and it did not help. The home could use a deep cleaning to clear spider webs etc. The beds were surprisingly comfortable which we were grateful for. The host was very nice I just wish a better solution would have been offered to make our stay more enjoyable. I would recommend having the air unit checked or add window units to the house for future guest staying in the summer.

Wonderful host
This is our second time staying here. Was just as described. Steven is a great host and easy to communicate with to answer any questions. Our dogs loved the fenced in yard so they would not have to be on leashes. Hoping to come back and stay again next year!

Basketball trip to Coastal Carolina University
If you were looking for a place to stay while visiting Coastal Carolina university, this place is perfect. It is a 5 to 10 minute walk to the campus. There is a grocery store within a mile of the home. Myrtle Beach is a 20 minute drive. We enjoyed the town of Conway which is a 10 minute drive through restaurants and the entire village is quite quaint - we didn’t have a bad meal anywhere. The house itself was a great find because we were traveling with our two dogs. The yard was well-maintained, and had a gate that didn’t allow the dogs to escape. There is a table and chairs for dining outside if you wished and also a fire pit with chairs if you cared to do that. The inside of the home was very clean, but it could use some paint and maintenance. It looks as though the homeowners are working that but as we all know that takes a lot of time to get it completed. The accommodations were wonderful. We only used the master bedroom and it was very comfortable. I know it seems silly to point out, but after reading a lot of reviews on VRBO all of the appliances worked and they were clean. The kitchen was well appointed. Our host was very easy to communicate with and quick to answer any questions. Overall, we had a great trip and definitely a good value. Thank you for your hospitality!

Nice stay close to CCU campus
Property was clean, good size, comfortable beds, and nice yard. Close to campus and other amenities. Easy to get to. Fenced in yard portion is not accessible from inside the house, requiring going outside then into the yard, which means putting the dogs on leashes to get to that area, if your dogs are runners. The kitchen had some basic cooking utensils but would go through the cabinets before selecting what to cook, or purchase the necessary pot/pan.

Clean and spacious with fenced in yard
Property is very close to CCU (where I was moving in my stepson). Residence was clean and spacious for what I needed, which was a room for me and my husband and small dog and possibly my stepson if he wanted to stay with us over the move in weekend. The yard was fenced in for my dog. The host was very accommodating and responsive. Will stay at the property again when I go back to visit! Would recommend

I loved the house and the privacy of it, my dogs felt right at home, and my family and I felt great using this property is like maybe 10-15 minutes to boardwalk and beach but we didn’t mind the drive. Steven was great at responding to my questions and we will be using it again if it is possible next year.

The yard was wonderful for our dog! The house was charming. The hosts were very accommodating. We enjoyed our trip. Would recommend this property to anyone, especially dog people. My dog lived the yard so much. Even the neighbors were pretty friendly to us.

Hosts were excellent at responding and helped fix tv. Everything was as advertised but did appear to be missing a couch that was visible in one picture ( 2 instead of 1). Perhaps consider adding a cookie sheet/baking tray. Kitchen was big and easy to cook in.

Not for vacation for Myrtle Beach
Both toilets had issues, beds so hard husband had to sleep on the couch. We had to spray for bugs outside. You couldn’t go outside without getting eaten up. Husband was bitten by something in the house. Amber thought it was a spider. Roaches in the house. Had to clean blood off one of the bedrooms doors. The backyard is adjacent to 5 other yards. The beach is 30 minutes away driving. Didn’t see one sunrise or sunset. The pictures are very deceiving when renting this place. It needs to be painted. The walls are marked up. Doesn’t look like it has been painted in a few years. Washing machine is missing the center piece, so you have to babysit your loads. I know there is more but it’s just to much to remember.

Not a premier, very dirty, backyard not fenced in.
When we walked in the door, the couch was filthy. There were dirty hand and feet marks on the walls. I thought k my dogs yo the backyard to find out the fence was a cow gate. Obviously not keeping my bulldogs in. I contacted virbo and sent pictures. They said I had to give owner a chance to fix. I contacted the owner. He said he knew about the couch and tried to clean it. He also said he knew about the fence. He refused to give us a refund. He showed up day two with a steam cleaner. I cleaned the couch. He asked me what else was dirty. I pointed out the nose snot on the wall, handprints and foot prints. He wiped them down which didn’t clean them. I scrubbed walls with comet and mopped floors. It took three buckets of water on the kitchen floor before it was clean. Everything was dirty. Throw pillows, mat under dish drainer. I don’t ashes them. The water in the washer was muddy brown. Very disgusting . I had yo wash the sheets before we slept in the bed because I didn’t trust them. Disappointed in Virbo. We left two days early. Also no coffee in the kerig. We should have been offered a refund of at least some sort. I feel like we were scammed.

Close to everything but comfort was less than stellar
The location and space of the home was great. The beds were not. Very uncomfortable. We know the house allows pets but it smelled like pets when we arrived. The furniture is stained and the primary toilet had issues. No issues with the owner at all, very responsive. If you have pets probably a great place to stay.

Big thank you for letting us stay at your vacation home. We had such a great visit. Everything we needed was there was there from extra blankets to the fenced in back yard for our fur babies. All the added decor and the welcome sign on the fridge was such a nice touch. I do think the high light for the whole family was the Wii and board games!!! 😊😉 We hope to be back soon. Our stay was great. We were visiting CCU and the location was perfect for back and forth. The neighborhood was very nice and quiet. Short distance to all attractions and restaurants. The house itself was perfect for our family, and it had everything we needed to feel like a home away from home. We would stay here again!
