„The Baldachin Inn is a lovely old property with plenty of character. If you are a light sleeper, I'd suggest asking for a room facing onto the garden, as the main road off the north side of the building gets some traffic noise - in spite of it being a really small town. The room was very comfortable and clean and the staff are wonderful. I did not eat in the restaurant on this trip, but have had breakfast there before and it was very good. “

„The area itself is very beautiful as is property. Caroline was incredibly helpful and we had a wonderful stay. Watching the alpacas go for their run out the window of our accommodation while getting ready to go to a friends wedding was a delight. “

„Positive: Very spacious accomodation. Very nicely equipped. Effective climate control. Nice little balcony. Very reasonable pricing. Good wifi. Not so good: Problem with stairs given our ages and knee woes. No reliableTV service. No list of instructions or of nearby eating places. FInal choice was made due to Internet listing declaring 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Unhappily, one bathroom non-existent.“

„Very lovely, fully restored century home. Beautiful, peaceful location. Absolutely wonderful meals. Owners excellent hosts and able to give you history of the home and property. The room was comfortable and clean. I had a wonderful stay and recommend Sandy and Doug's B&B to everyone! “

It was lovely An easy-to-reach owner with a renovated cottage and a just gorgeous view Fantastic deck and lovely views A paddle board and a canoe were available to have fun, and all you needed, like a life vest and noodles, all good stuff Super clean sheets and towels Robes are available for your comfort A hot top on the deck Highly recommended It is the best fit for six people, not more“

„This property is in a lovely location with some marvellous outdoor options. It is close enough to Ottawa to be able to experience all the area has to offer yet far enough out to find peaceful relaxation if you prefer. The houseboat is such a unique experience. The host is very helpful and personable. “
