"The cabin was fantastic- had everything we needed for a 3 night/ 4 day stay. It is fairly remote so id say plan accordingly but thats what we loved about it! Ammenties in the cabin are great ( even used the dryer after a really nice day at the beach to quickly dry some bathing suits ) overall great, hoping to be back soon!!"

The building is very original, retaining period features with some sympathetic updating in kitchen and bathrooms. The views out over the lough are mesmerising. "Our family reunion of 6 stayed here for a week and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this amazing 450 year old Tower. We had meals and played games in the great room, viewed the sunsets from the rooftop ramparts and generally lived like the Royal family (minus the servants of course). "Such a fun space with living area, kitchen & plenty of bedrooms and bathroom space for all of us (5 ). Kitchen could be better stocked with some basics (salt, pepper, oil) but good set up for a small group. Excellent location with tasty pub, restaurant, cafe options within walking distance. Off street parking was perfect - finding the place was a bit tricky but once you understand, it's great. Thank you to "Peter" who met us and was very helpful & responsive via text. "Tony and Peggy are such wonderful hosts. Part of the joy of our visit was meeting and talking with them both (but they are absolutely not intrusive!). We fell in love with their horse Molly and their other pets. Having Molly wander over to the windows was a daily delight! It was great fun staying in a converted barn, the accommodation was beyond excellent. Our daughter had her own suite in the lower level (we were in "Swallow Loft") and the living space (kitchen, dining, family room) was more...

Easy bus travel—5 min walk to the pub or flag the bus on the road; easy travel to Galway and An Spidéal (look up galwaybayfishing.com for a fantastic day out, finishing with a meal of the fish you caught in a local restaurant …#bestdayever!!). 1.5 hrs to Bunratty Castle too!!"

"The big pros of this place are location and size! A once in a lifetime trip with adult children/spouses and this space was large enough for the 7 of us and it is close enough to walk to public transit around Ireland. Easy to communicate with and check in/check out easy. Part of our group ended up delayed by a day but part of us made it and check in and communication was everything! Please note that by American standards the bathrooms/showers are small but there are enough that the space works...
