„Overall, a newly renovated building with friendly service, but I was disappointed about some aspects of the renovation which was not professionally done. The vent/furnace was very loud when it was running, and there was some on and off noise at night coming from the upper floor, which sounded like wood floor cracks, or something behind the wall. I was surprised that a newly renovated building had those issues. Other than that, I was satisfied with our stay.“

„The king bed room was absolutely the cleanest and spacious setting for a family owned property. The cherry furniture with microwave and refrigerator inside was extraordinary. So private and although highway 48 is close…we didn’t hear any cars or trucks!! I loved taking a hot bath also!! Views of the mountains are inspiring and breakfast was substantial….variety and convenient. We’ll return!“

The town is extremely quiet, so we arrived with a personal note on the note addressed to us, front door unlocked, and key in the door of our room. It was an early century 3 story house so clean and comfortable, we felt very cozy and safe. The proprietor has everything ready for you and has a phone number to call if any questions or issues. „We had a wonderful time at Grin and Bear it. The house was well stocked and very clean. It had everything we needed for a quiet and relaxing getaway and DK made himself available for any questions. I highly recommend staying here if you travel to Alpine Lake. “

„We were in the area for a ski trip which was a last minute addition, so accomodations were scarse. The Motel had rooms at a reasonable price. We had fairly low expectations. Everything was fine. A few things could be improved: 1. Need better curtains for the window that faces out front due to a very bright porch lamp. 2. Need a curtain for the bathroom window. We had to place a folder to block the view! 3. It was very hot in the room! Good for this winter weather if course, but was hard to ...

„We had to cut our trip short due to a snow/wind storm. Due to the location far from a main road, I was worried that if trees came down or power got cut it would be an issue so left early. The house was very clean and well stocked and having a large bathroom downstairs was great. Some of the floors definitely creak. “
