Retreat to our Rustic Cabin, nestled atop a serene 20-acre mountaintop, providing the ideal escape from the daily grind. This enchanting cabin is a testament to exquisite handmade craftsmanship, boasting all-wood logs and reclaimed barnwood floors and ceilings that radiate rustic charm. The living area is anchored by a magnificent stone wood-burning fireplace, perfect for unwinding with a glass of wine.
Surrounded by the sights and sounds of nature, you may catch glimpses of deer grazing nearby or hear the gentle rustle of leaves as birds flit through the trees. Delight in the unique custom Moonlit window, which fills the interior with natural light and frames a stunning night's sky. Begin your mornings with awe-inspiring panoramic vistas and the soothing sounds of nature as you enjoy your coffee on the wrap-around porch.
As night falls, the cabin transforms into a stargazer's paradise. With minimal light pollution, the sky comes alive with a dazzling display of stars, and on clear nights, you might even catch a glimpse of the Milky Way stretching across the heavens. They do call this "God's Country" afterall. The distant call of coyotes adds to the enchanting nighttime ambiance, creating a truly immersive experience in nature's embrace.
Adventure enthusiasts will find plenty to do, with opportunities for snowmobiling, hiking, biking, kayaking, fishing, and riding quads on the property and surrounding trails. Stargazers will appreciate the dark skies, with Cherry Springs and nearby state parks like Lyman Run and the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon offering even more exploration.
Access to the cabin requires a 4x4/AWD/SUV or crossover with clearance. Electric heaters on each floor provide the main source of heat, with adjustable controls on each unit. For those comfortable with a wood-burning stove, it adds ambiance, with wood provided at the cabin. Guests are encouraged to bring their own wood as well. Detailed instructions for safe use are available in the binder.
Winter Access Note (Dec. 1 - March 31): Due to winter conditions, access may require an ATV/snowmobile. Rentals are limited to guests who bring their own 4x4 ATVs, side-by-sides, or snowmobiles. Alternatively, guests can use our side-by-side (Gator) at no charge, with a waiver required. The cabin road features 3/4 mile of switchbacks, and snow/ice conditions make it unsafe for trucks and SUVs. Parking is available at the mountain base for trucks and trailers. The Potter County Snowmobile Club is just 1.3 miles away, with local roads designated for ATV/snowmobile use.
Winter in Potter County is a snowmobiler's paradise, with miles of groomed and ungroomed trails accessible from the nearby Potter County Snowmobile Club. Check out the trail map in our photo gallery. This area is widely considered one of the best counties to snowmobile in all of PA.
We look forward to welcoming you to our cabin for a memorable getaway!
