"The stay was nice but the inside was not up to par. When i walked in the room, boy, did it look clean. I put socks on and walked around getting my stuff in order for the next day. My socks were brown after 15 minutes. The toilet would stay running unless you push the brown toilet handle up. The TV remote was broken. It worked but was missing parts. The water pressure was OK but i took in consideration that the motel is undergoing remodeling"

"Great getaway and beautiful river venue - good consideration for large gatherings close to DFW; Friendly and knowledgeable staff; however, we stayed on a Tuesday night and staff left at 5 so no access to recreation cabin, ice, lodge until next morning. "This is a converted shed, so it is very small. That being said, it was comfortable and easy to manuver around in. The floor plan works and I was very impressed by that. Perfect for one or two adults. The loft bed was comfortable but you cannot sit up so be aware of that. I came in on a day where the weather dropped from 70's to 30's and woke up freezing. "No problem with the house. It was clean and plenty of beds. There was a problem sleeping due to dogs barking (probably at cats) from 10:00 to 4:30 am. You might try the outdoor dog barking deterrent. It cost less than $30. Maybe a coffee table in the living room for drinks. Only one bedroom had a mirror so 4 women crowding one bathroom is not the best. Consider a cover for the patio coming summer."

"We just wanted a peaceful, relaxing getaway for a few days with a pool. This was the perfect place. The renovated barn is perfectly decorated and cozy with everything you could need for your stay. And the pool was refreshing and clean and just what we needed. It was a hoot to see their chickens wandering about the property. The owners were quick to respond to all messages and within the barn, they provided great info for places to eat and things to do in the area and the history of the property...

Plenty of space for our group of family and friends, a stocked kitchen and comfortable accommodations.
