Ruhige Waterfront Cottage

Schöne, schön eingerichtete 1 Schlafzimmer "Queen-Size-Bett" / 1 Bad Hütte. Perfekte Flitterwochen oder romantischer Ort für einen Kurzurlaub. An einem glasklaren Kanal, der zu mehreren Seen, dem Halls River, dem Homosassa River und dem Golf von Mexiko führt. Gutes Angeln in klarem Wasser direkt von Ihrer Terrasse. Das Haus liegt in einer großartigen Gegend, um Seekühe, Schweinswale, Otter, Schildkröten und Stachelrochen zu beobachten. Mehrere Kanadareiher, Ibis, viele Bardeneulen und ein paar Waldstörche bevölkern Ihren Hinterhof. Es gibt auch eine große Vielfalt an Vögeln in der Umgebung und der Halls River fließt durch ein Vogelschutzgebiet. Sie sind nur wenige Minuten von 3 verschiedenen Flüssen entfernt, die zum Golf von Mexiko führen. Es gibt eine Anlegestelle für ein kleines Boot sowie Platz zum Abstellen Ihres Bootes und Anhängers. Kommt mit einem 4-Personen-Paddelboot, 2 Kajaks und einem Kanu. Schöner umzäunter Hof mit Doppeltoreinfahrt. Auf 2 Seiten eingezäunt und auf den anderen 2 Seiten wasserdicht.

House was decorated very well and was very clean. Loved the water behind the house...loved came with kayaks, canoe and paddle boat. We caught and released fish. Perfect location. Definitely loved and will be back. So peaceful. We met the owner...he was very very nice.

Vacation getaway
Spent our anniversary weekend at the cottage. Went to homosassa and Crystal river on boat tours. We used the peddle boat at the cottage and went down the canal. At end if canal was an Emu island, very interesting as they even had an alpaca. Cottage was well supplied. Even caught a bass fish in the canal. Place was a litle tricky to find as the cottage is tucked in on their property but they were home to guide us. Very relaxing weekend getaway

We Needed a break from our stressful jobs. We wanted some place quiet and away from the crowds. This was perfect. It felt secluded but was close to town. Every time I walked around outside I found something new, whether it was cute decor or wildlife. I loved it!

Amazon little cottage! It is kept in incredible condition! The owners stocked it with every conceivable amenity. We couldn't decide if we were going to take the canoe, paddle boat or kayaks out on the water. Would definitely love to come back!

The cottage is very nice. The outdoor area is great with comfortable chairs to sit by water. Even a recliner lounge outdoor chair for reading a book. Peaceful!

perfect peacefulness
This was the perfect place to relax and get close to nature. Every day was a great adventure. We saw a manatee, otters, bald eagle, alligators, barred owls, several different hawks, turtles, emus, water snake, osprey, and plenty of fish! The place is surrounded by lush woods an is very private. The hosts were wonderful and friendly. We will be back as often as possible! Love this place!

Paradise Cottage
Tranquil, with your own private aquarium! This place has it all, inside and out! Close proximity to shopping, parks and restaurants! We didn't want to leave, and we are certain we will come back! Excellent host!

Beautiful property. Cottage was super clean and had everything you needed. Gas grill was clean and the canoe, kayaks & paddle boat were perfect to get around the waterway. No lies they had several manatees in the area. So much fun! Super nice added touch were the tiki torches, perfect for the evenings. We already plan to be back soon.

this little cottage is so quaint and beautiful, nestled in the woods, along a tributary, filled with fish and other wildlife. It is very quiet, and decorated so lovely. You have everything you need and more. My little doggies and I enjoyed our visit on the Nature Coast of Florida.

Perfect place for a relaxing stay!
This cottage was amazing! The location is beautiful and quiet and we saw a manatee and an otter right behind the cottage! There are also kayaks, a paddleboat, and a canoe. We used the canoe to explore the area behind the cottage and we saw manatees each time we took the canoe out. The hosts were great checking throughout our stay via the vrbo app to make sure we had everything we needed to have a comfortable stay. I would highly recommend this place if you are looking for a nice relaxing place to stay in the Homosassa area!

This was a great quaint cottage to get away. After the hustle/bustle of the holidays we needed to chill and this was perfect. It’s so quiet. Dennis and Debra are very responsive and right next door if we needed anything. We were fortunate enough to have 3 different manatee sightings! We would visit again in a heart beat.

The most amazing vacation to date!
We loved our stay in the cottage more than any other vacation we have done! We travel (out of Alaska) often and this was by far the most magical and enjoyable place we have been. If you are looking for an amazing, cute, and enchanting getaway in Florida, consider this cottage and be drawn in to the gifts it has to give. Serenity on the Water
I had an amazing stay at Dennis and Debra's waterfront cottage!!! It's serene ambiance greeted me like a warm hug. I love the vintage accents within the eclectic decor, the tranquility of watching river life glide through the water, and the water access to the Halls River and connecting springs. While in the area, I did enjoy exploring some local seafood markets, Brook's Dockside in Inglis and Aripeka Stone Crab Company which I would both highly recommend. Being right on the water, I launched from the cottage and paddled the Halls River up to the springs and down to Ellie Schiller Homosassa Springs State Park. It was a beautiful paddle! I was able to photograph so many birds. I ate lunch at The Crab Plant, stone crabs of course, and they were spot on, On my previous visit to the area, it was too windy to paddle Kings Bay down to Three Sister's Springs, but this trip did not disappoint. So many manatees have already migrated into the area. What a treat to see!

Lovely cabin in a great location
We had a enjoyable stay at this clean cozy cabin on a canal adjoining the Halls River. From the yard we saw a manatee, an otter, and storks, with owls hooting in the evening. The hosts were very helpful and friendly, just next door. We had our own kayaks, and found the location ideal for trips on the Chassohowitzka and the Rainbow rivers. On land, we saw hundreds of manatees in the three sisters spring on an early morning, and we spent a couple hours at the nearly Homasassa wildlife state park. Although the cabin has no stove, there is a grill, microwave, coffee maker and several electrical appliances, and laundry next door. There is a great BBQ shack (Beans) and an upscale restaurant (Wallaces) within a mile.

Great couples cottage on the water
My husband and I stayed at this cottage for one week in November. The cottage was the perfect size for the two of us. The kitchen was well equipped. The internet worked well. The patio and view of the water was so tranquil and quiet. We enjoyed taking the canoe and kayaks out a few times. We saw manatee, tons of fish, birds and a sting ray. There was a pair of wood storks that visited and enjoyed eating scraps of bread. The location is great. There are restaurants, shopping and attractions nearby. This place is also within an hour of many great things to explore. We hiked the Withlacoochee forest, went to Three Sisters Springs, went to Cedar Key to explore and have lunch, did the lower Suwannee river nature drive, went to Rainbow Springs state park, explored downtown Crystal River, went to Boyett's Grove Citrus Attraction, and explored several small towns. There is a ton of hiking and kayaking in the area. We didn't mind the cooler weather, and the heat at the cottage worked well. Stop in at the Seafood Seller for dinner and indulge in the Chubby Mermaid sundae at Guyer's Ice Cream & Doughnuts. Both are fantastic. Our VRBO hosts were great and we thoroughly enjoyed their cottage. Everything in the home was clean and smelled fresh. There were plenty of towels, blankets and pillows. We were very comfortable.

Bucket List surprise!
Wonderful little house with lots of unique features: curved wall, antique TV, radios, etc.. Creek water very clear. Lots of property for our puppy to explore. We took the canoe out to explore the waterways. Dennis told us about a little lake we could paddle to and maybe see some Manatees. There were several Manatees in the little lake and one of them came up to the canoe. We got to pet it. Other larger ones came near and we were able to watch them munch on their aquatic salad. The water was that clear! One item off our bucket list! Awesome stay!
