„Amazing. Arrived early just as they had finishy cleaning. No problem. Allowed us in good welcome pack, milk tea coffee biscuits. Everything very tastefully presented. Nothing except a playground in the village of Warcop. 5 miles to Appleby in one direction. Kirby Stephen in the other. Lovely countryside.“

„Dank des frisch renovierten und großen Zimmers war der Aufenthalt insgesamt okay. Allerdings ließ der Service wg. zu wenig Personal, ergo nicht abgeräumte Frühstückstische, schleppender Check in, Zimmer wurden nicht gemacht sehr zu wünschen übrig. Das Frühstück war mäßig (kein Obst, bis hin zur Kaffeetasse und zum Messer musste alles selbst an den Tisch gebracht werden). Als Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen und die Schiffsfahrt über den See ist das Hotel aber sehr geeignet. “

„ Grundsätzlich empfehlenswert, leider deutliche Servicemängel und schwankender Standard beim ansonsten sehr freundlichen Personal. Die Nebensaison sollte keinen Qualitätsabfall zur Folge haben. Abendmenü für 55 GBP zu teuer, auch hier ließen Qualität und Service Wünsche offen. Es gibt aber jetzt ein neues Hotel mit Swimmingpool am See, dass den 4**** vielleicht eher entspricht.“

„Our stay at the New Inn 1730 was only overnight, and we arrived around 6pm on a Sunday evening. This is a welcoming & friendly pub, with restaurant and accommodation. The owner did his best to accommodate our needs during our short stay, and is still finding his feet a little having only recently taken on the business. Food options were limited when we arrived, particularly for our two fussy children, so we did eat elsewhere that night, but the cooked breakfast in the morning was very good, ...
