Great location with one negative (more on that later). I have seen a few review comment on how the rooms have not quite lived up to the impression on the lobby and I would have to echo that sentiment. My room had a wonderful view facing the ocean and beach. and that's the only thing that nudged the room rating to perhaps 4 stars. Without the view it would have to be borderline 3 stars. Not a fan of the tub/shower combo, but can understand the advantages for some people, but in this case the step in and out of the tub was a bit high/tricky. It was not an easy step in. Suggestion: provide a small movable, but solid, step/stand to help with that process. Also, if you are going to offer a bath, why not offer some type of "bubble bath" salts or something of the sort. They will be rarely used but at least it lets the customer know you're thinking of them.
Breakfast buffet was above average to good. No complaints.
Back to the one negative for location. Not the hotel's fault but they have a beachfront nightclub set up directly across from the hotel that pounds out a heavy bass beat through the late/early hours each night. I'm sure all the hotels in the area are pissed off about this and they're all having to deal with it. Surprisingly, I managed to fall asleep without much problem each night, but I am sure there are other guest who found the noise annoying. Many negative reviews on the nightclub, mostly advising to avoid, hoping no doubt to put the place out of business.
