At check-in, I was told that there was no luggage cart and instructed by the night manager to grab one from the hotel adjacent to it. “We have a special relationship with each other.” the night manager responded when I asked if it would be problematic. I had to laugh at such a strange minor inconvenience, property has only one elevator in the building with front desk/check in, mind you the property has 3 floors and 6 or more buildings, so dependent on room placement, this could be inconvenient or impossible dependent on a person’s ability at the time. After a car accident, my close friend and I barely completed that journey, and once we got into our room, we were surprised by the conditions, and not pleasantly. It smelled of stale cigarettes, not a single towel to be found, (in a two bedroom “apartment”/“suite”, what looked to be a hole from a burn from a cigarette burn on the top cover of the bed in the room to the left, exhausted we fell asleep. Before falling asleep, we had called the front desk to inquire about towels and a change of clean sheets or at least a cover/comforter without a huge burn hole,
