Built in 1936 by architect Sir John Hubert Worthington, Little Redlap has been significantly updated throughout the years to encapsulate the setting, retaining original features yet introducing a fantastic architect designed open plan kitchen/dining space (of around 700 sq. ft.) enjoying views across the gardens and sea beyond.
Little Redlap offers a mass of light, high ceilings and spacious accommodation for 16 guests across 5,000 sq. ft. including a large entrance hall, superb living/dining room with open fire, a TV room, 6 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 3 shower rooms, a large utility/games room, and cloakroom.
Facing in a southerly direction, Little Redlap enjoys delightful views across the gardens and out to sea with distant views of the coastline at Beesands and Hallsands.
Outside, landscaped walled gardens with entertaining areas, mature shrubs and trees, and rolling lawn. There's also ample parking and a double garage.

The Space
A timber door leads to the entrance and staircase. Engineered oak flooring leads to the fantastic open plan, living kitchen/dining room with three large, floor-to-ceiling sliding windows overlooking the truly wonderful gardens.
There is a beautiful bespoke handmade kitchen with built-in fridge, dishwasher, an oil-fuelled AGA, ample worktops and a breakfast bar, and with seating to the side.
Stairs lead to the first and lower-ground floor utility/ games room.
The large living/dining room with centrepiece stone fireplace and original oak flooring also has high ceilings, with windows overlooking the gardens and the sea beyond.
The dual-aspect TV snug room has double doors leading to the rear garden and to the garage. There's also a cloakroom and boot room.
From the kitchen, stairs lead to the lower level with a utility area, with adjacent shower room, WC and a hand basin.
Upstairs, the extensive landing leads to the east section of the property with the principal bedroom enjoying wonderful high ceilings and large windows overlooking the rear gardens, Start Bay and the golden beaches of Hallsands and Beesands.
A further double bedroom has dual aspect with far-reaching views. This area includes a bathroom.
There are three further double bedrooms, all of which enjoy countryside and sea views. There is a bathroom (with walk-in shower) and a shower room with WC and a hand basin.
On the second floor, is the loft bedroom with a generous en-suite, including a walk-in shower, WC and a hand basin that sleeps 3 guests in a double and single bed.
Outside, from the ample parking for several vehicles, steps lead down to the gardens and a door to the kitchen. There's additional parking at the front of the house

The stunning walled rear gardens have a wealth of mature flowers, shrubs and trees with a large patio area adjacent to the house. Take in the serene, breathtaking views across the surrounding gardens, country landscape and the sea.
There are steps down to the large, level, formal lawn and pergola perfect for al fresco dining and summer picnics.
Stone walling with steps down to a treelined path to further lawn areas, a stone outbuilding with the private water facility and a good-sized vegetable area with a greenhouse and a shed.

The Neighbourhood
The coastal village of Stoke Fleming lies on the shores of Start Bay just three miles from Dartmouth. Its clifftop position, lying within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, provides panoramic views over one of the most beautiful stretches of coastline in the UK. Within walking distance is the award-winning beach at Blackpool Sands, and other beaches along the shores of the bay and along the coast top Salcombe are within easy reach by car. Inland the countryside is of rolling hills and winding lanes, with woodlands, streams and pastures.
The village has a pub, restaurant called Radius 7, café-restaurant and shop at Blackpool Sands, post office, church and primary school. All the facilities of Dartmouth – shops, cafes and restaurants, river trips, boat hire and angling - are 10 minutes away. The South Devon Coast Path runs through the parish, and on the edge of the parish is Woodlands Leisure Park, with attractions for all the family.

Getting Around
A car is recommended. However, if you enjoy walking, the coastal path is easy to access from Little Dartmouth National Trust, and is around 20-minute walk into Dartmouth.
Other Things to Note
There is easy access to a beach which is only 5/10 minutes from the house. Further directions will be provided in check-in details.
