Peaceful homestead on the hill
The home and property are excellent for a quiet stay. The views are spectacular and the home is cozy fine for up to 6 folks. The large property and the backyard fire pit (with firewood) make it even better. We had a relaxing time mostly just enjoying the scenery and company.

Great Getaway
This cabin isn't luxurious or fancy, but it is the perfect getaway to unwind. It has a million dollar view and is very private. The cabin is well equipped and has all the kitchen equipment you would need. Also, the owner provides a great supply of firewood for the beautiful stone fireplace inside as well as the fire pit outside. We had a great time enjoying some outdoor time, and our dog loved it!

Great mountain getaway
Internet and cell service not quite all there, but what else can you expect being on a mountain with hundreds of acres surrounded by literally no one else except for a bunch of cute cows. We loved our stay, the property managers were great and easy to work with, and I would highly reccomend you get a piece of peace and quiet if you have the chance.

Great location to unplug
We had a wonderful time! The property is gorgeous and the views can’t be beat. We enjoyed the outdoor games and fire pit. Everyone’s favorite was relaxing on the porch and enjoying the view. The driveway is a great “hike” for young kids. They loved looking at all of the cows. Our dog loved it too! Our only disappointment was that it was cloudy at night. We were looking forward to stargazing without light pollution. I guess we will just have to come back! This is the perfect place to stay if you are looking to unplug and spend quality time with your family.

Absolute Seclusion
One of the best rental properties we’ve stayed at - everything was amazing. It is not easy to get to and that is part of the charm. At night, there is not one light to be seen in the world save for the stars. Steve was extremely responsive and helpful when we needed him. We hope to return for a longer stay very soon.

Comfy Cabin with a Gorgeous View
Everything about renting this property went smoothly. The cabin is very comfortable and spacious enough for 6 adults and 3 big dogs. The view from the front porch is spectacular, as is the view from everywhere we explored on the property. We drove Jeeps and hiked up the hills and through the woods. It was so peaceful and beautiful! We spent most of our time outside enjoying playing cornhole, relaxing on the porch and having an evening bonfire. This is a fantastic place to hang out with family and friends for a stress free weekend!

Middle of nowhere, not clean
Me and my freinds found our self on a vary long road in the dirt. Directions to the cabin were unclear. My car almost couldn't make it. We did not know we were staying in the middle of a cattle ranch surrounded by cattle. The house was dirty. Bleach stained linens, non cleaned house. During the night we had atleast 6 hornets fly around the cabin along with many other insects. What was creepy wasnt the fact we had no cell service but as soon as we left the house to check out 4 hours before hand. I got a text that said thank you for staying. Like there were cameras in the house the whole time. The host house was not on the road where i was staying. So there was no way they would have known we left with out cameras being in the house. We also had to drive an hour away for anything. When i texted the host reccomdatons he just said thanks and that was jt.

Remote Quiet Nature Scenic Cabin
We would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for allowing us to stay in your beautiful and peaceful cabin in the mountains/farm land. Our anniversary of 6 years was well spent here! We loved waking up to the cool and quiet morning breeze of the mountain air and the birds chirping and playing with one another. We never stayed in such a remote place before and this was by far the best we can ask for. Our ferrets enjoyed the grass yard as they ran around it. It truly felt like a magical place. Although our trout fishing experience didn't go as planned, we enjoyed self teaching ourselves for the very first time. The campfire was a really nice addition to our stay. We don't get to experience it often back at home. We will miss getting lost and watching the cows lick our bicycle tires clean. It was such a nice pleasure meeting you. Thank you so much for your recommendations and help throughout our stay. We hope to come back again in the future.

Myself and my 4 kids aged 15-20 were looking for a vacation spot that would allow us to relax and unwind after what proved to be a rather challenging year for us. What we found at this cabin was everything we could have asked for. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking essentials, the bedrooms were perfectly sized and appointed. WiFi was adequate for any needs we had and the satellite TV worked but we never even turned it on after making sure we knew how to use it. There was a car parked on the property which spooked me at first but Steve was quick to reply to my text and state that the vehicle was for his personal use and stayed at the property. We were gets on our arrival by about 10-15 cows which was perfect since they were part of the reason we picked this cabin. There were a lot of earwigs, some of the largest I've ever seen, confided mostly to around the backdoor as we found they liked to hitchhike in when you open the door. Want really a big issue for us but wanted to mention it in case it's a deal breaker for someone else. I enjoyed having my coffee on the porch with no sounds other than the birds and sometimes some distant moos. I was awakened one morning by a cow just outside the gate but again that just added to the perfection of this cabin for me. We brought, and played, a lot of board games and puzzles and there were several others provided at the cabin. Our 2 dogs lived running around the property. We found the fence surrounding the property to be adequate though there are some places were curious dogs can crawl under so for those with runners this may not be ideal. There are a few country type stores that carry the basic essentials and a dollar general in Monterey where there are a few more grocery options. I chose to drive to a larger grocery store so that we could have a little more variety and while it was about 1 hour away the drive was scenic and relaxing. We spent the majority of our stay in the cabin and exploring the surrounding grounds though we did find our way to the swinging bridge for a hike alongside the river that just added the perfect touch to this relaxing vacation. We will surely be making our way back here and soon

We enjoyed our stay at Seldom Seen cabin. Communication with the owner was excellent. The location is ideal. We had everything we needed in the kitchen to cook our meals. The beds were comfy. We enjoyed the fire ring behind the cabin and loved sitting on the front porch and watching the cows graze.

Perfect family getaway
Our family of 5 plus 2 dogs had the perfect spring break getaway at this cabin. There is something for everyone here! The property is beautiful and was perfect for vacationing with 3 kids (2 teens and 1 pre-teen) and our 2 Labs. One kid is a drone hobbyist and was able to fly his drone and take beautiful pics, another kid drove her Traxxas RC car all over the property (had a blast), and the other kid took the dogs for multiple hikes on the trails located on the property. We all had fun exploring the trails, it was very peaceful and relaxing...something we all needed after a very stressful year. We sat around the fire pit and cooked s'mores, and on the one rainy afternoon of our stay we played corn hole on the covered front porch. We all agreed that we want to return to this cabin in the future for another family vacation!

A great place to getaway
Our stay was delightful. Beautiful land with views of rolling hills and distant mountains, pretty fall colors in the surrounding woods, lots of deer and cows. The stars are so bright! And there were even apples on the apple trees to snack on. The fireplace made the evenings so relaxing as well. I recommend for anyone who wants seclusion in a naturally beautiful location.
