This lovely property is brand new to the rental market in 2023. All four seasons are perfect in this charming direct waterfront home on Lake Pocotopaug! Enjoy beautiful views from inside and outside this 1,430 square foot home. The upper level has a small work area in the main living room with more views, hardwood floors, and a propane fireplace. Enjoy comfy seating in front of the large-screen TV, cozy up in front of the fire, or do a family puzzle at the game table. A stylish barn door leads to 2 additional bedrooms, one king and one queen, with lake views. A remodeled, updated bathroom rounds out the upstairs. The lower level features an updated kitchen with maple cabinets and new stainless appliances. Enjoy breakfast at the kitchen counter or dine in the dining room overlooking the lake. In the back a bedroom with two twin beds (can be combined for a king). Nearby a separate laundry room and a renovated bathroom with spa tub. Outside, guests can enjoy the lakefront decks, with spectacular views. Upstairs the outdoor seating and beautiful views makes the 2nd story deck a perfect place to enjoy your days. The lower decks, sculpted with bluestone and set with cozy furniture and lawn swings, define the cozy coastal vibe. An outdoor wicker dining set lets you eat while you enjoy the sunset. A gorgeous undersea scape and mermaid mural enchants and amazes you in the entry. During warm season enjoy taking a kayak or paddle board to explore the lake right off the private dock. The private dock is in place May-September and is perfect for sunbathing, swimming and fishing. Play corn hole on the grass in the backyard or enjoy a campfire around the fire-pit and roast s'mores (wood and s’mores provided). With its peaceful setting, stunning views, and all the amenities you could want in a cottage, this lakefront retreat in this quiet neighborhood, is the perfect place to stop and enjoy the view. For more lakefront memories, this home belongs to the Princess Pocotopaug community, which shares two lakefront beaches down the street, with walk in beach front, floating raft and picnic tables. Association beaches are not dog friendly. Private dock and raft for the community beaches and our home are put in the water in the warm season May-September. Water-crafts are available for use from our private dock during this time. Kayaks can also be launched at the small private beaches on Wangonk and South Wangonk. If you wish to bring your own watercraft during your stay, racks can be made available for storage. With all the amenities of a larger home, this cottage on the lake is the perfect place to make memories that will last a lifetime.
