„We rented the cottage property because it was close to family. Both the kitchen and bathroom has been update- we did not do any cooking during our stay so can’t comment on that area. But we really appreciate the instant hot water in the bathroom. We stayed in the upstairs bedroom which was comfy with lots of closet space and room. “

„My husband and I had a beautiful stay in Gertrude for two nights. The property is beautiful and feels secluded but is close and convenient to everything you need. The only thing to note is that the only cooking facilities are a small grill and a kettle for tea/coffee. Also a mini fridge. All worked perfectly, but good to know for planning!“

„House is spacious and comfortable with a fully equipped kitchen that has everything you need. Beds were comfortable and bathrooms were conveniently located on both floors. Everything was clean and tidy. It's clear Ron is doing continuous updates to the property, but that didn't bother us at all. Location is very peaceful with gorgeous views and spectacular sunrises and sunsets. Ron is right on site and readily available if needed. We'd definitley stay again.“

„The house is in a beautiful location and is setup wonderfully to joyfully cook a big meal with a group of people. The house is comfortable and inviting, if a bit worn down (chipping paint, rust, and some dusty shelves). The beds are comfortable as are the sitting and living rooms. The jetted bathtub in the pictures was out of order and there are instructions not to use the wood stoves. The hosts have very distinct instructions and their personality was clearly showcased. “

„Family gathered from several different states for a large wedding event. We all enjoyed being able to be together in one place. The house wasn’t perfectly spotless and stained carpets and too many things on the walls but nothing terrible. It was all easily overlooked because we were all together with lots of room to spread out if needed.“

„Beautifully appointed home on a beautiful lake in Woodstock, CT. We enjoyed kayaking on the lake, visiting nearby orchards and hiking the many scenic trails nearby. Many great restaurants in the area as well. „The pictures were accurate and for a VRBO the furniture and beds were all extremely comfortable! Many times we’ve had a bed squeak all night or a mattress that was like concrete….not here! The driveway is very tight to get in and out of and if parking is occurring on both sides of the street, it’s even harder. The outside is rough but you can tell they’ve tried painting, etc.“

„The location w/in walking distance to Federal Hill, and close to an amazing restaurant Troop. We stayed with 3 families and it was great to have that much space to spread out. We would have hoped there was TVs in the place for the littles, and were unaware of this going into the location, which was a suprise. The driveway was too tight for anything other than a sudan, but there was ample street parking. Great place to put your stuff down and a comfortable place to sleep. “

„My visit to Killingly Barnyard Studio was in one word, AMAZING!! It is so peaceful, quiet, friendly animals, wonderful hosts, and exactly as portrayed in their profile!! Pristine clean, new kitchen and bathroom, 3-sided wrap-around deck that faces only forest, corrals, horses and deer. There are great places to walk, with the sound of falling water and river to soothe your spirit. I would return in a second, any time! My Best Ever get-away experience!!!“
