„Der Aufenthalt an sich war gut. Allerdings ist die Wohnung dunkel (nicht so hell, wie auf dem Bild) und extrem muffig - nach Schimmelgeruch. Das war sehr unschön. Im Keller stehen verschimmelte Möbel und aus einem Einbauholzschrank in dder Essecke riecht es ebenfalls extrem schimmelig. Wir haben den ganzen unteren Bereich mit "Febreze" behandelt und dauerbelüftet. Dann ging es nach ein paar Tagen einigermaßen. Die ersten 2 Tage haben wir noch nach Ersatzwohnraum geschaut, weil wir wirklich stark ...

„The house was everything we needed, opposite a pub and the swimming pool. The villagers were very friendly and helpfull, especially in the swimming pool. Unfortunately the internet stopped working on the third day but the rental company responded out of hours to help sort it out..“

„The four of us had a wonderful stay in Dunkeld Cottage. The stone cottage was lovely - though the two tall men had to learn to duck at the kitchen door! The living spaces and bedrooms were very comfortable and the kitchen was fantastic, with top-quality Siemens stove top and oven, a good dishwasher and much appreciated washer and dryer. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans and utensils to make cooking easy. There was salt, pepper, sugar and tea. The shower had good water pressure and ...

„It's a beautiful area with stunning scenery just a short drive away. The house itself has so much character with a lovely large kitchen/dining area and big lounge. The garden is beautiful too - quiet and enclosed. We loved that you could walk to Kirkby Stephen over Frank's Bridge, which we did quite often. All in all, we had a lovely weekend.“

Es hat viel ländlichen Charme, ist zwar nicht 'geleckt' sauber, aber sehr hygienisch und nach normalen Standards zum Wohlfühlen. Es bietet Platz zum Zurückziehen und auch zum gemütlichen Zusammensitzen (allem voran den traumhaften Wintergarten) und ist - mit eigenem Auto - ein schöner Ausgangspunkt für viele Unternehmungen. Am Abend hat man sich immer wieder auf und über das Heimkommen gefreut!“

„An ideal quiet location with access to Penrith and the Lakes. Well appointed modern property, private parking. Host could not have been more friendly and helpfull. We did have a couple of issues with the Verbo discription verse actual facilities- however host was quick to sort out and offered us alternative very close by. Thanks for that. All in all we had a great stay and would not hesitate to book again next time we visit the lakes.“
