Topplage

Die Wohnung liegt super zentral und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Allerdings muss man aufgrund der zentralen Lage damit rechnen, dass es auf der Straße schon mal laut werden kann. Der Kontakt zu Jon war direkt und jederzeit möglich, um Probleme schnell zu lösen. Wir könnten unser Gepäck auch etwas früher unterstellen, danke hierfür. Jederzeit gerne wieder.

abgewohntes und lärmintensives Appartement in zentraler Lage

Positiv war die zentrale Lage auf der Royal Mile und ausreichend Platz für 4-6 Personen mit 3 Schlafzimmern + 2 Bädern. Wohnung hat einige unreparrierte Mängeln ( Fenster, Lampen, Wasserhahn, WC-Bürste, etc.) ist schlicht ausgestattet und durch Einfachverglasung sehr lärmintensiv. Negativ war auch der fehlende persönliche Kontakt zum Vermieter. Weder zur Begrüßung und Einweisung, noch zur Verabschiedung/Wohnungsabnahme war jemand vor Ort. Es bestand lediglich Kontakt per SMS / WhatsApp. Schade !!! Fazit: Edinburgh ist eine der schönsten Städte Europas und jederzeit einen Besuch wert. Fast alle Sehenswürdigkeiten sind fussläufig erreichbar und die Menschen sind freundlich und hilfsbereit. Transfer zum Flughafen schnell und preiswert. m.f.G. Frank K. aus Hagen

The location for a city trip is perfect, although it’s quite loud. The flat for 5 was good. The bathroom were okay, the moldy shower curtain was not really „luxurious“🙂.

Great location

The location is fantastic! Quick walk to the castle or palace or meeting points for tours. Easily accommodated our 5 adults. The stairs can be tricky as it is on the 2nd floor (which means 2 up from the ground level). It can feel like a lot when you have walked the city all day. But that did not stop us from enjoying it.

Lovely place

Lovely place, great location. Loads of nice pubs restaurants etc right on your doorstep. The only little thing was the noise at night but thats to be expected being so close to everything and keeping the streets clean.

Great location on the Royal Mile

Great property located right on the Royal Mile that has a very convenient little grocery market right below it that helps with those food items that you always need! The host was so communicative and a pleasure to work with and the apartment itself was perfect for our group and the 2 days we stayed in Edinburgh! Great restaurants and shopping just steps away from where your staying. If you have a car to park, there is a garage a couple of blocks away that you can pay to use and it's an easy walk back to the location! Would absolutely stay here again!

Very entertaining spot to be staying. Overlooks the most iconic intersection in all of Edinburgh! Quite an upstairs trek but, worth the views! Jon is a very caring host. Could probably use a few more special touches in the kitchen for overall convenience. Lovely apartment and not too loud after the bars close. I would recommend this apartment and Jon as a great host.

Wonderful Apartment. Great Location

We stayed 3 nights in mid July 2024. The checkin process was super simple and the host was very accommodating to any questions and/or requests. The location of the apartment was perfect for us. Easily walkable from the train station and right on the Royal Mile. The kitchen was well appointed, and the living room was large enough for our party. The small store at street level was perfect for purchasing small items for breakfast, etc. Communication with the host was great. Would highly recommend.

Nice in Edinburgh!

Perfect location to everything, especially for a short stay in Edinburgh. Convenient to train station and local tourist attractions, restaurants, etc. Plenty of room in flat, very comfortable for larger group. Each bedroom has a key to the flat. NOTE: stairs up two flights would be hard if you had issues. We felt very safe and had easy access to the Royal Mile. Jon, our host, was very help, accommodating, and responded quickly to our inquiries and group needs. A great stay in Edinburgh! We will return!

This 3 bedroom fit our needs perfectly. The location was just steps away from the Royal Mile and bus stops were very close. Be prepared for stairs as there is no elevator. Otherwise, it's a great property. The owner was easy to communicate with. Great stay!

Amazing stay in Edinburgh

This is a great flat for enjoying Edinburgh! The location can't be beat, and it was very comfortable for 5 people. Jon had the beds set up as requested, and when we had a small issue Jon responded within moments, and had the issue resolved within minutes. Highly recommend.

Location in the neighborhood is great…location up long, narrow and winding 3 floor staircase was not ideal. Really the most disappointing aspect were the bathrooms. The bathroom with the shower tub not usable since the shower temperature could not be regulated. It was literally either scalding hot or ice cold…no in between. The other bathroom shower had a broken shower head which would only stay in its lowest position so it was about waist height. Sorry, I don’t like to leave a bad review but this was not what we bargained for and certainly not luxury as described. My daughter told me to remember that an owner can leave a bad review for you in retaliation but I really don’t want anyone else to experience the disappointment we did.
