Tucked away on the serene Edisto Island outside of Charleston, Seaclusion is your perfect escape from the everyday. Designed by architect Steve Herlong, this charming getaway invites you to slow down, breathe in the fresh ocean breeze, and experience the natural beauty of one of South Carolina's most peaceful islands in a rural, private setting.

From the moment you arrive, the spacious balconies and inviting decks welcome you to settle in. Whether you're savoring your morning coffee on the swinging chair or enjoying an al fresco dinner at the outdoor dining table, this is where your group will gather to soak up every bit of coastal living. With plenty of seating, a BBQ grill for easy outdoor meals, and the soothing sounds of the nearby beach, the stage is set for relaxed days in the sun. You’ll even enjoy ocean views from the top deck.

The beach is just a short walk away, with a 6-seater golf cart available to make getting your gear and snacks to the shore a breeze (the golf cart should be reserved in advance, as a waiver must be signed upon rental, and guests will need an access code for the keys.). After a day at the beach, wash away the sand with a refreshing rinse in the outdoor shower, and let your mind shift into pure relaxation mode. There’s even a small private dock to explore if you want to get a close-up look at the lowlands.

Inside, vaulted ceilings and expansive windows flood the home with natural light, giving it an airy and uplifting feel. The open layout seamlessly connects the living spaces, making it perfect for bringing everyone together.

Home Truths:
- Please note our occupancy includes an additional one beyond bed count. A trifold floor mattress and additional linens can be provided upon request.
- This home accepts a maximum of 2 dogs. Please note that ONLY dogs are allowed due to severe allergies. Dogs must be approved in advance and are subject to an additional fee of $150 per pet. If undisclosed pets are brought into the home without AvantStay's approval there is a fine of $500 per pet.
- The golf cart should be reserved in advance, as a waiver must be signed upon rental, and guests will need an access code for the keys. The rental fee is $100/day.
- The fireplace is not available for guest use in accordance with local rules and regulations.

- Please note there are strict parking rules. No more than 1 car per bedroom is allowed.

Accidental Damage Protection: A non-refundable accidental damage protection plan has been included in the price of your reservation. Under this plan, you will not be held responsible to pay for accidental damage or loss to the rental property resulting from you or others in your party up to $2000. This plan does not cover intentional acts of a guest, gross negligence, or willful and wanton conduct, and/or damages caused by pets. This plan is not available for reservations 28 days or longer or reservations that require a security deposit.

This is a smoke-free property. Violation of the no-smoking policy will result in forfeiture of the security deposit, a $300 smoking fee, and liability for any fire or property damage costs.

As part of our commitment to being good neighbors, occupancy limits and quiet hours (9pm-8am) are strictly enforced. No speakers or sound systems will be provided for use in our properties. Violation of any noise ordinances will be subject to fines that can reach up to $10,000 per violation.

Events or parties are not allowed without prior written approval and an additional fee. Any unauthorized parties or events will be shut down and a fine will be assessed. Please inquire for more information about our event policies and fees.

There is nothing more important to us at AvantStay than the health, safety, and experience of our guests & staff. We've enhanced our cleaning and sanitation protocols and are taking extra care to disinfect all surfaces between reservations with hospital-grade disinfecting solutions.

As a reminder, we do work with 3rd party vendors to maintain the property, and although we adhere to the strictest CDC guidelines and advise all contractors to wear PPE equipment, we can not always enforce. We strongly advise guests to please deny access if any vendors fail to meet and adhere to these standards.

IDs will be requested for verification after booking. All bookings over 28 days require a security deposit.

Seaclusion Jermery Cay Edisto Beach SC
Upon arrival we immediately noticed cigarette butts and small pieces of trash around the back of the property (which we picked up) checking in instructions indicated keyless entry and code given. Entry was KEY and locked in lockbox. called AvantStay and took a while to get correct code. Inside house was/is beautiful - very clean. Note to VRBO kitchen sink handle is loose and kept coming back on after shutting off. Issues with TV. Came on then after about hr shut off. Called # and was told someone would call back. They did not. got a text the next night asking if TV was working. (at the time of text, it was) but again would cut off. this happened entire time of stay. Rented golf cart. Payment received but was not sent waiver to sign. Key was locked in box and had to call to get code. was told someone would call back in 5min and finally got the code 1 HOUR later. (having to wait takes away time on beach) Charcoal grill was small, rusted and hadn't been clean from previous use. (up graded grill would be nice) Minus the glitches overall stay was pleasant, comfortable, relaxing and enjoyed by all. We do plan on making this a yearly event and most likely will repeat in January/Feburary 2026. I want to give a special Thank you to Rae. She was very cordial, helpful.

Beautiful Property
This house was as stunning as the images shown and outfitted with high-end appointments. Beds were comfortable with fine linens. Kitchen was supplied with most everything you would need to prepare a meal for your family. There is plenty of space to spread out, too. We did have to ask for the appropriate code to access the lockbox once we arrived, but management addressed this in a timely manner. Note that the fireplace - a feature we specifically sought out when planning our wintertime stay in Edisto - is not operational. We opted to add-on a masseuse visit, and that was really nice. I look forward to returning to this property in warm weather to enjoy the outdoor amenities and location!
