Cozy and Comfortable
It was well worth coming all the way from Germany to spend our summer vacation at Hidden Bear Cabin in Egg Harbor. This beautiful log cabin was the perfect size for four adults and four children to stay in for 12 days. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to prepare our own meals every day. The stairs up to the loft were quite steep for children to climb up and down so we decided to have two adults sleep upstairs and we used one of the large cushions from the couch in the lounge to block off the bottom of the staircase. The kids loved the toys and board games, the foosball table in the basement, and the hammock and fire pit outside. It was a lot of fun discovering all of the unique artwork and details within the cabin, such as bear footprints on the dining room table and a rustic wooden sled that serves as a coffee table in the lounge. The cabin is cozy and comfortable and its location in the woods makes it seems like you are miles away from civilization, yet Egg Harbor with its beach, shops, and restaurants is only a 10 minute drive away. Overall, we loved our stay and highly recommend this cabin to others. Thank you Sharen and Charlie Ireland! P.S. We saw that you own a cabin in Florida as well and we are considering spending our next oversea vacation (in 3 years) there if it is available. Warmly, Diana & Rene

A Magical Time
We had a wonderful time at the Hidden Bear Cabin. Everything was in pristine condition it felt brand new. The host was super responsive and the cabin felt like our own little oasis. This was the most thoughtful vacation rental experience I have ever had. From the games, directions, ease of check in, extra towels and linens, etc. we had a magical time!

Loved out stay!
We were in DC for a family wedding and wanted to find a place close where me and my brothers and sisters could stay together. This place was exactly that! The cabin is beautiful and stocked with everything we needed and even a few things we forgot. We had a rainy weekend so weren't able to enjoy the firepit but would have definitely done so if had the chance. The Ireland's made me the hero with my family in finding such a great property to stay at! Given the chance we would definitly go back!

We'll be back
We wanted a secluded cabin in the woods and this property delivered all that and more. It was very cozy, clean, and comfortable. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything one would need to prepare a meal including a drip coffee machine. Our favorite room was the sun room which has an electric fireplace that really heats up. It was pleasant to sit in the warm room and enjoy the great views. This was our first time in door county and this property was a great location as everything was only 15 to 30 mins away. The internet was as advertised. Not the greatest, but sufficient to surf the web and update some games. At this property you won't want to be on the internet much anyway.

Great family getaway
The property was beautiful and comfortable for our big family. It is well stocked with games and entertainment for the kids (teenagers and younger kids). The kitchen has everything you need for preparing your own meals and the sleeping areas have plenty of blankets and pillows. We loved all the attention to detail to make it a lovely place to not only relax but also engage with each other. The location is ideal for visiting multiple state and county parks!

This place was so perfectly set up, clean, and beautifully decorated. It was so comfortable we didn’t want to leave. Everything you need is there and then some. Nice relaxing stay
We had a quiet and relaxing stay. Cabin is very comfortable and it was easy to find using GPS. It snowed one night so the fireplace was nice to have available. Cabin had everything we needed to make several meals. Scavenger hunt in the cabin was fun. Only thing we wished we could have done was see football game but couldn’t find any channel that showed it on Directv. Minor inconvenience. Streamed it on the ipad. Overall great stay. We would book it again.

A little slice of heaven!
This beautiful cabin was everything we hoped for in a cozy door county get away! It was so private and tucked away from the business of town but central enough to be able to go out and enjoy the rest of Door county without a drive. The cabin was so clean and comfortable. We had two younger kids and came in knowing the stairs were steep as mentioned in other reviews but they truly weren’t a problem. The whole property is so well taken care of and we would so love to come back some day!

Cozy, Clean, and Comfy Cabin in the Woods
My wife and I just finished a pleasant autumn stay in this modern cabin located in a beautiful and very private wooded setting! The cabin is cozy, very comfortable, and exceptionally clean! The property is as-advertised and it exceeded our expectations. The woodwork throughout the cabin is amazing - it emits that wonderful “up north” vibe. Communication with Sharen was excellent. Hoping this property will be available to us for our next visit to Door County.

The description of the place was spot on. It is a cabin in the woods. So cool. Clean and comfortable. They thought of everything. I would stay there again.

Beautiful aesthetic, great central location, humid, bug issues.Ran into word limit w/ review
Biggest issue was the bugs.There were bugs between the glass and screen in several windows, both loft and the main level.It seemed like the smaller flying bugs were everywhere.In 20 minutes, my husband killed 10+ bugs near the lamps in the loft.In the lounge, there were 6+bugs on the glass on the door.Not limited to near the windows.We felt there wasn’t a place in the cabin that was bug free/“safe”.We spent our entire honeymoon being paranoid about bugs landing on us,food/drinks, personal care items,bedding,etc. Not for those with sensory or mobility issues.The stairs are very steep.The bed in the loft had noticeable movement.Not for easily nauseous/light sleepers.Mattress pad smelled musty.No real door for loft bathroom.EVERYTHING can be heard and smelled throughout the cabin.Shower fan looked dirty.Loft shower was on the smaller side.Very noticeable religious decor throughout the cabin.Front door hard to close/lock/did not seal well.Rock steps that lead up to the cabin can be difficult and slippery when wet.The tv was hard to figure out.The trash can in the kitchen smelled horribly when we first arrived.The refrigerator made a high pitched noise.It was on the smaller side and made a lot of noise when opening.The toilet on main level had a puddle behind it due to humidity/previous visitor turning off the fan.The door does not stay open on its own and can be sticky to open/close.Hand towels remained damp and never dried fully.Humidity avg 70%+.

Wonderful Place
We had such an amazing time in door county on our honeymoon and this cabin was a perfect spot. It was in the middle of the woods but yet only 15 min away from a lot of attractions!

Perfect Getaway
Exactly what we were looking for as an adult family getaway in Door County. The home is beautiful with all the amenities needed and close to any Door County destination. Would highly recommend.
