Welcome to Panorama House on Stanhope - Country Elegance. This spacious 4-bedroom, 2-bathroom home, sleeping up to 8 guests, is a perfect blend of stylish sophistication and country charm. Set within 3.5 acres of sweeping landscapes, Panorama House on Stanhope offers a secluded retreat where you can unwind and entertain. Enjoy breathtaking views of the Hunter River and serene countryside whilst still being conveniently located only an 8 minute drive to our closest vineyard Pierre's Wines, 10 minutes to town shops and hotel and 20 minutes to the centre of the famous Hunter Valley Vineyards.

From the balcony there are spectacular views of the river below with an accessible pathway to the banks to enjoy outstanding sunsets and tranquil water aspects. Note, children need to have adult supervision.

Upon arrival, you will be captivated by the contemporary architecture that exudes distinctly modern elegance. Inside, the home unfolds into a spacious lounge and dining area adorned with tasteful decorations that echo the serenity of the countryside. A stunning fireplace stands at the heart of the home, providing warmth and a cosy ambience during those cooler evenings. A firepit is also available for use during winter months (fire restrictions apply).

To rejuvenate both body and mind, there is a luxurious heated spa with an adjacent cold water shower and bathtub to re-energise. Offering sweeping views of the countryside, it's the perfect place to soak away your worries and soak up the beauty of your surroundings. Despite its secluded feel, you'll enjoy the comfort of escaping the stresses of daily life and reconnecting with nature in this beautiful countryside retreat.

For the culinary inspired the house offers above average facilities. Included are two BBQs - one gas and a Heston Blumenthal charcoal grill-rotisserie with an electric start. Both are undercover on the balcony.

There is a full steam convection oven which is especially great for cooking vegetables and fish. There is an abundance of platters, pans and cookware etc. If you prefer a night without cooking Branxton offers outstanding Hamburgers from Hungerford Meat Co., Chinese takeaway from Yees, The Royal Federal Hotel dining and takeaway pizza, coffee shops, bakery, and IGA general store and liquor outlet with a good selection of local wine, all within metres of each other.

The property also features a Type 2 Electric Car Charger.

We can supply a cooking class with a Hunter Valley chef in-house on request. Please enquire with our team if this is an experience you would like to include during your stay which will be one you won't forget! For 'cooking with wine' classes and private massage treatments, it is essential to request when making your booking as availability is very limited.

Security Deposit: This property requires a $1000 refundable security deposit due no later than 5 days prior to arrival. The value of the bond will be added to the total at the time of booking.

How We Price: The booking price is based on a minimum number of guests. Any guests above this number are chargeable on a per person/per night rate. The system will automatically calculate the correct rate when you enter the required number of guests. Reductions in guest numbers are non-refundable.

Arrival Details: Access to the property is made easy for you. We will send you an access code just before 2 pm on your arrival day via SMS and you will use this code for the duration of your stay.

Linen: 1 set of full bed linens and 1 bath towel per person are supplied. Guests may wish to bring extra towels depending on the length of their stay. Pool/Lake/Beach towels are BYO.

Guest Amenities: We are Eco-Friendly - to help reduce wastage, we supply a single bottle of 3in1 shampoo/conditioner/body wash in all showers. In addition, guests are advised to bring their own personal preferred bathroom products/amenities.

Wi-Fi is provided complimentary on behalf of the owner. It is intended to be used in an appropriate manner by all guests. As the service is provided by an external 3rd party, Weekenda cannot and do not guarantee the speed or efficacy of this property's Wi-Fi connection nor do we pay any compensation for interruption of service for any reason.

Pools: If the property has a Swimming Pool then it will be opened for swimming for the start of the NSW September School Holidays and closed and Winterised immediately after the NSW Easter School Holidays have been completed.

Fires and Firewood: Internal wood fireplaces and outdoor fire pits only operate after the NSW Easter School Holidays up to before the NSW September School Holidays in line with NSW state fire restrictions. Please note we will normally supply enough firewood, kindling & fire-starters for between 1-2 nights of your stay. For guests wishing to have additional fires, we suggest BYO Firewood, Kindling, and Starters which can be easily purchased from the local service stations.

No Party Policy: All reservations operate under a Strict No-Party & Non-Excessive Noise Policy as prescribed in the NSW Short-Term Letting Legislation and Local Council Laws. This property is in a Residential Area. Failure to comply can put the security bond into jeopardy and may lead to police-assisted eviction and/or extra charges being levied. We hate to have to note this but the reality is that so far this year we have had to evict 3 groups for overstacking/bad/anti-social behavior.

Extra Guests / Visitors: The number of people nominated on your booking is the maximum number of people that are allowed to be on the property at any one time, including visitors. Visitors may be requested and if approved must be approved in writing with Weekenda staff. Simply put, if Mum and Dad want to come over for a BBQ then we are likely to approve. If 10 extra people want to stop by, we are unlikely to approve, which could put your booking at risk. We will always try to be reasonable with reasonable people within property constraints and House Rules.

Cameras and Noise Monitoring: There are no external security cameras at this location presently, but the owner reserves the right at any time to install external cameras at their discretion. Any camera install will be in line with local regulations. A noise monitoring device is installed - fines apply to guests found to have disconnected, removed or damaged the noise device. These devices are used to monitor and maintain ours and guests responsibilities under the NSW STR Code of Conduct.

Guest Registration / ID Check: Weekenda requires every guest to complete and sign an electronic guest registration prior to arrival which will ask for photo ID i.e. a copy of your Drivers Licence or Passport. The primary booker will also be required to complete a list with the guests names and actual mobile numbers. In the event we are unable to reach the primary booker, it is very important we can get a hold of other guests. These documents will be deleted after your departure. Access Codes are only released to Registered and Verified Guests.

Critical Update: Due to an unprecedented influx of fraudulent bookings, we are forced to impose a policy that protects our clients, industry and community against those attempting to commit fraud and theft. Any booking made within 5 days of arrival is required to provide a photo of a valid credit card in the same full name of the primary guest to match the supplied identification document. Failure of these documents matching will result in the booking being cancelled and all funds processed returned to the original card assumed as stolen and thus a fraudulent transaction. We trust we have our honest and genuine customers understanding this policy is in place to protect all parties.

Insurance: As always, but ever so more due to recent times, we strongly encourage any holidaymakers to obtain a very inexpensive 3rd Party Domestic Travel Insurance Policy to cover you for all manners of matters which may restrict travel. This is particularly helpful for things like Hunter Valley Concert cancellations, Covid or Medical and Other Emergencies for which we don't provide refunds, and anything which falls under our standard Terms & Conditions irrespective of the reason. We suggest reviewing policies with 'Cover-More' or 'Travel Insurance Direct' or 'Insureandgo'

Long-Weekend Getaway
A fantastic place to escape the city and stay with the family, with a great view, space and facilities. A slight false start, having been informed about an early check-in at Midday, but the access code was not received until 1:45pm. Once inside, we were really impressed with the well-appointed house - well done P&K! However, given the size of the property and the above-average nightly rate for similarly-sized alternative accommodation options in the Hunter Valley, we would have expected the provision of more than just salt and pepper, a spray can of olive oil, one single, small poppa of milk and no shampoo or conditioner! Surely it wouldn’t have been too difficult or expensive to have provided a number of lacking consumables that would have given a considerably warmer feeling and be more reflective of the quality of the property. Looking forward to our next Hunter Valley getaway!

Things we didn't like: - The room on the outside of the house was not specifically described as being separate to the house - this was disappointing - There was a beer cap left on the table of the bedroom next to the living area - The play/bar area was messy and therefore not inviting at all to enter and use the area as pictured in the ad - The house was overall quite dirty - cleanliness standards were not met - The seating / sofa arrangement in the living area was not 'homey' and did not allow us to gather comfortably - No fly screen doors - No scissors - The water filled ditch to get to the driveway - It was hard for our friends who stayed in the outside bedroom to get inside the house with one key to use as you have to lock the door from the inside of the main house with the key - The door opposite the middle bathroom has no key to lock it so can be accessed by anybody at any time from the outside - The outside room door lock was hard to open - The bathroom door in the outside room leaves an inch gap of exposure - There is a funky smell in the outside room Things we liked: - The experience of the chicken coop and fresh eggs - The hot tub on the deck with a view - Neighbourly cows - Kangaroo visitors - The main bedroom with heated floors and bathroom - The outside dining area with swings - The many fireplaces we could not use due to NSW Fire Bans - The rustic charm - one of us want to have the house!
