The location and physical setup is well above average. Nice and secluded yet close to Elizabeth City and other sights closeby in Chesapeake, Portsmouth, Virginia Beach, and the Outer Banks. The house is well equipped kitchen-wise and appeared really clean until we lost a phone and searching into/under things revealed some less-than stellar cleanliness (typical hotel room cleaning pattern). We broke out the vacuum and gave it a good under-the sofa, chairs, beds, etc. cleaning. While there were an appropriate number of beds/bedrooms, bedtables and bedside lighting was insufficient in two of them. Overall, we really enjoyed our week at Pirates Treasure as it is a real gem locale-wise. The property owner let us in early and replied to queries quickly and kept us aware of things during our stay like the lawn service that week. Being river-side was beautiful and we could image the fun and activities to be had when the temperatures come up. Lots of games, water equipment etc. available for use at the property. BTW if you are looking for wood for the firepit at the base of the wharf, it can be purchased at Lowe's in Elizabeth City. We had a number of great evening fires.
