Perfect for a girls weekend
Every year we take a trip to a cabin for a girls weekend so we are always on the hunt for a unique place to stay. This property was perfect! There was enough beds for everyone and it was very clean. Loved all the decor! The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed (thank you for a regular coffee pot). The game barn was great since our one full day there was a chilly/rainy! Faribault is a nice quaint town that we definately plan on coming back to! Thank you Angie and Ted for all the small touches in the house to make it feel like a home for the weekend!

Lovely Renovated Farmhouse by the Lake
A perfect stay for Carleton Family Weekend. The house is lovingly renovated and very comfortable, with everything you need on hand. The fire pit and game barn provide plenty of entertainment, and the dock is a beautiful place to sit with a book and a cup of coffee.

Girls trip 2024
A group of us girls decided we needed to get away from all the stress we've been dealing with and found this gem of a place. The owners were extremely nice and very welcoming and were quick to respond if we needed anything or had any questions. The house is absolutely beautiful and they put a lot of detail and love into that place. Also, It was stocked with everything you needed! We were able to sit by the fire by the lake and watch the wildlife and just relax. The sunsets were also amazing. One of the days it got a little windy but we were able to move to the back of the property where there was another fire pit and the barn with all these fun games! We played bags, shuffleboard, ping pong, and so much more. They also provide you with bikes, kayaks, and canoes! Our only regret is that we didn't stay long enough! We will definitely be going back next year. It was just what the doctor ordered!! Thank you for the great memories!

Our stay was comfortable and the home was stocked nicely with items we needed. Parking was not ideal in bad weather and the barn house game room is not heated and therefore unusable during winter months.

Beautiful antique farmhouse
We had another amazing family weekend in Faribault staying at this wonderful farmhouse. It is a cozy yet spacious place to relax. The new game barn is a wonderful addition - just wish we would have had more “downtime” to enjoy it. The lake is gorgeous and waking up to it each morning was so calming. Next time we’re back in Faribault I hope to be able to kick back and really enjoy the home and all it has to offer. The owners are immediate to respond, which is so appreciated!

We were so pleased with our stay. My dad is a farmer, so the house, barns, and cornfield were all like being home. But then to have the lake was out extra bonus. The home is so lovely and comfortable. The beds are fantastic. It’s quiet, clean, and convenient to shopping. The kids had a great time with the kayaks and canoe provided. Communication was quick and easy. Angie even stopped by to check on us. I can’t thank you enough for a wonderful vacation with our family.

So relaxing!
Immaculately clean, so very comfortable. So many different indoor and outdoor places to relax, we just rotated from porch to picnic table, to hammock, to games barn, to dock, to hammock... So very peaceful. Home was great with lots of bed combinations for sleeping options and two full baths, it just really works. We had a fantastic stay, highly recommend. Just a heads up but NOT a criticism, refrigerator is larger than apartment size but seems smaller than most so if you have a lot of food, a cooler and ice for overflow could be handy.

Lake House Perfection
Great property on Cannon Lake. Had lots of fun using the canoe and kayaks while exploring the lake. Fishing off the docks was productive - crappie, bass and walleye! Inside the house is very charming, rustic barn feel. One master bedroom downstairs with 4 beds upstairs with a 3/4 bathroom. Best surprise was the central air, especially for those humid days!

Perfect family getaway
My family had a terrific time at this beautiful lake house. We especially enjoyed the kayaks and yard games provided, and loved spending the evenings around the fire pit. This was the perfect place to unplug and enjoy some family time. Ted and Angie were so friendly and welcoming and had great recommendations for things to do in Faribault and the surrounding area. A trip to Faribault for a wedding turned into a wonderful long weekend reunion at this amazing lake house. We could not have been happier at the impeccable cleanliness of this vacation home. Angie and Ted went above and beyond by stocking the home with everything needed to make their place enjoyable for everyone, including bicycles, outdoor games and wood for the fire pit. Not having to bring our own towels and linens was so appreciated! They were quick to respond when we had questions, and so kind and friendly. We have another family wedding next year and will be sure to reserve again with the Reiters. Thank you!
