The location of the house is amazing. The view from the house and desk is perfect! Unbelievable sunsets! The house could have been a bit cleaner. The cookware, dishes, & silverware all had to be cleaned by hand and were fairly dirty. If you plan to cook a lot at this house I’d recommend brining some extra pots and pans as the house doesn’t have a huge selection and the ones they have are in rough shape. Not a huge deal, we made it work. The blinds in the living room are broken so be mindful of that if you have people sleeping in the living room. We were only left with one trash bag besides the one in the trash can. Wouldn’t recommend this house for elderly people or people with mobility issues because of the stairs getting down to the beach. It’s really rocky getting off the steps to the sand area. Besides these small inconveniences, my family enjoyed our stay!

Breathtaking Views
This was our 2nd stay here. We love the location - easy drives to South Haven and Saugatuck. We love being right on the lake with the gorgeous views! There were some disappointing things this time. The grass had not been cut. It was easily 12-18 inches tall. That did not make a good impression at all when arriving. The tall grass was not conducive to being in the yard. When you know you have renters coming, we don’t understand why it wasn’t more presentable. There were many loose boards on the deck. This could be a safety concern. The deck furniture had not been cleaned. It looked too dirty to sit on. The last time we stayed here, there were screens in the sliding doors. The screens were not there this time. We love to hear the crashing waves and be able to keep bugs out. The couches and blue chair have definitely seen better days. They are visibly worn and dirty. It’s time for some new furniture. When we think about dogs being on the furniture, too, it really needs cleaned or replaced. The hot water handle in the kitchen sink does not turn completely off. It drips continuously. The entry door lock has a lot of “play” in it. This caused a problem each time we tried to set the lock. The split rail fence also needs some repairs. We love the quiet setting and the gorgeous views. We had a cute possum visit on the deck, saw deer on the property and love the black squirrels. We would love to return. We love the accessibility of the home. This is one of our favorite rentals.

Not what I expected, I thought I could walk out to the beach and water long the water. Had issues with the telecom services, no wifi no internet, no tv for 4 days. Also no radio. A very quiet week, bring books, kindle or dvds.

Stunning views, quiet location, house was very clean and well-stocked. Only 3 things to note for property owner: hot tub had perhaps too much chlorine in it-the smell was overpowering, no wifi or tv connection-actually was a refreshing change for us but might be an inconvenience for others, also sliding back door is very difficult to open and close. But gorgeous property!!! We will return!

I don’t want to post a review.
I have no desire to write a review and have it posted. I do have a couple of comments that are NOT complaints but could make the place better. The hot tub cover is water logged. It needs replace or minimally a lifter on it. It took two of us to get it off and back on. Also part of the styrofoam inners are falling apart and blowing into the neighbors yard. That’s not being very neighborly as you strongly suggest in your writings. The hot water in the kitchen sink will not totally shut off and always drips. If you don’t lift the toilet handle back up, it will continue to run The northwest kitchen blind will not totally close The wired phone line is all static. We had to get in our car and drive 1/2 mile to make an emergency call. I’m sure this is a simple fix with your phone provider. We had to reset the WiFi router about 8 times. That is probably due to the scratchy phone line. You said, a bundle of firewood, came with the rental. There were two pieces. Not sure that’s truly a bundle in my world. BUT we had a very nice relaxing couple of days and will definitely keep this location in mind for the future. We have already forwarded it to two of our friends who are interested Now you got a low rating for communication. You sent wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy to many texts and emails!!!! I was trying to enjoy my stay.

Is the view worth the price?
Yes, it's worth the price, but with what they charge, why isn't it being cleaned and updated? The porch is almost dangerous, with boards sinking in. The carpet is stained and looks gross. Updates are badly needed! Also, the hot tub was full of sand and pretty dirty. But, the view was amazing, for sure.

Disappointing
You're paying for the view, and even that should be better. Second time in this home with my family of five. Property Management company, Vacasa, is neglecting this property. Carpet has multiple stains, throw rug over the carpet was disgusting. We had to roll it up and move it out of the way. They do allow pets so maybe that's a factor. Bottom line is the place needs a little TLC and it could be fantastic. As it stands, wood deck and fence are in disrepair and need some work, needs new carpet. The view is fantastic but they should do a better job clearing the weed trees that obstruct the view. The WIFI router had to be restarted multiple times daily. The little Roku TV is a joke.

Awesome Property with Renovation Needs
You simply couldn't beat the views at this property as a Photographer I had an awesome time photographing from at the top of the bluff and down on the beach. It was a huge bonus that it was the last house on the street that had lots of privacy for whoever rents the home. I will say there definitely needs some renovations on certain things. I would not recommend families with little kids for this home just because of the fencing was extremely dangerous with the pieces not nailed together to hold it in place. The fence easily could be knocked apart and someone could fall over the bluff. I would have at least put a sign warning of this "Don't lean on fence" or something along those lines. That would avoid someone getting seriously injured on the property. The stairs to get to the beach kind of just end abruptly and there is just a pile of sticks/rocks and a fallen tree that gets you the rest of the way to the beach. This is also super dangerous for little kids and I was worried about my parents falling due to the lack of stairs for them. Front porch also needs boards replaced/fixed. Those things being fixed in some fashion would make this place a 10/10 stay. I am thankful none of us did get hurt but I do worry about future attendants that stay who might have small children or grandparents who could fall from these things. Our stay was amazing, we had an absolute amazing time and we enjoyed it very very much. We would definitely stay again as long as those changes were made.

Cozy cottage with a breathtaking view!
My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! We enjoyed looking for and finding Petosky stones, relaxing in the hot tub, and just soaking in the view. There were a few minor things that could’ve been improved, like: there weren’t any oven mitts or hot pads, the furnace was loud when it kicked on (needed a noisemaker to sleep at night), and the hot tub water was about a foot low. Other than that everything was great! So thankful for this getaway:)

The views on this property were amazing- especially enjoyed while in the hot tub. Easy stairs on property leading down to the beach to explore the sand, water and rocks. Perfect size for our small family. Needs a few minor cosmetic updates. The view and sound of the waves was amazing! Already booked another stay. Short drive to Saugatuck or South Haven.

Great View!!
We really enjoyed our stay. The fire pit and hot tub were great additions and the use of the gas grill. The view was amazing, it felt like we were at the ocean not a lake!! The only thing I have a complaint about was the bed. It seemed smaller than a queen and it was hard and not comfortable. I’d say you need bigger softer bed! We would still rate this place a 10 and recommend it to friends and family.
