„Beautiful setting on Appleton City Lake. Cottages are right on the lake and it was fun to wake up to the mist rising from the lake, rooster crowing in the distance. Later enjoy sitting in the sunshine and watching the ducks and sparrows on the lake, also heard some cows mooing. Just enjoy the fresh country air! Rustic Duck restaurant was very accommodating too. “

„We were in the area from out of town visiting family and this place was perfect. Very clean, well appointed, and charming as could be. We enjoyed waking up to the lake view every morning and the peace & quiet was welcomed after a long days of visiting family. We will definitely stay here again.“

„This house was perfect and with traveling with 2 dogs who are used to country life and love being outside this house was so quiet, peaceful and perfect for the dogs as well. We loved how close it was to the middle of fort Scott so wasn’t too far to get food or groceries delivered. I would highly recommend this house to anyone looking for a quiet getaway with lots of space! “

„This really is just a perfect spot to host a family get together. Host has thought of everything. Decorated perfectly. Plenty of room to be together but not feel crowded. BIL was visiting from Spain, a former marine who now lives out of the states, we were able to get together and enjoy and great family get together. “
