„Das Haus liegt ruhig und etwas abseits der anderen Häuser im kleinen, beschaulichen Ort Thorpe bei Ashbourne. Um das Haus herum Wiesen und Berge, sehr gute Wandergelegenheiten in alle Richtungen. Das Haus war erstklassig ausgestattet und wunderschön. Der Pool und die Schwimmhalle waren durchweg beheizt und wahnsinnig toll! Ray war unglaublich hilfsbereit und nett! Wir würden definitiv wieder hier her kommen.“

„Lovely well well equipped cottage. Plenty of parking. Nice welcome groceries (bread, eggs, butter, jam & milk). Also had most of the subscription TV channels available and excellent wi-fi. Close to Buxton which is a 'must see' if in the area.“

„The accommodation was ideal for exploring Hathersage. Easy walking distance to the outside pool. Lovely surrounding walks. Good cafes and restaurants in Hathersage. Accommodation was lovely, everything we needed. “

„Wir hatten einen schönen Aufenthalt im sehr gemütlichen Cottage. Die Terrasse haben wir, so oft das Wetter es möglich machte, genutzt. Das Einchecken und die freundliche Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter waren völlig problemlos. Das nette Bakewell lädt zum Bummeln und Pub - Einkehr ein. Für nahe gelegene Schlossbesichtigungen und Wanderungen ein idealer Ausgangspunkt! Wir würde es wieder wählen!“

„We spent a cold and wet weekend in the Peak District but, fortunately, the cottage had everything we needed and was lovely and warm after a cold walk.Lots of walks nearby and the walk from Bakewell to Chatsworth and back was lovely, despite the mud. Bakewell tart also a must. Would definitely stay at the cottage again. My only negative point was the difficulty of negotiating a wet and muddy dog with three wet and muddy adults in the small entrance hallway! A minor point when, over all, the ...

„Das Cottage braucht dringend Investitionen in die Ausstattung. Die Sofas sind beispielsweise fleckig und durchgesessen. Der Teppich sieht sehr verbraucht aus. Die Handtücher waren grenzwertig verfleckt mit Bleiche und nicht näher zu definierenden braunen Flecken. Drei Lampen hatten defekte Glühbirnen als wir ankamen. Auch funktionell gab es Defizite. Die Türe im einen Bad schließt nicht. In einem der Schlafzimmer schließt die Türe auch nicht. Beide Bäder können nicht zeitgleich benutzt werden. ...

„Superb trip from start to finish. Marylyn the host was excellent from the moment we booked the trip until the minute we left the property. Nothing was too much trouble and the property was amazing and even better than the photos suggest. We will definitely be returning and would recommend this property to anyone looking for a great house with excellent facilities, amazing views in a great location. “

„The cottage is small, but perfectly equipped with everything you could possibly need. It is a great starting point for various trips to the surrounding area. We had a great time and would recommend it to everyone! Just one thing: the last few yards to the cottage are on a rather steep hill (hence "Hillside") and it can be a bit tricky to park your car there. You'll need to ascend the last few yards up to the cottage, but if you're reasonably fit, it shouldn't be a problem.“

"In meinem Zimmer war ein neues Bad, aber der Rest des Hotel war doch sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Was an sich nicht schlimm ist, wenn es dann sauber und gepflegt ist. In meinem Flur roch es sehr unangenehm. Das Frühstück war ok aber nicht jetzt keine tolle Qualität oder besonders lecker. Eine Kollegin hatte ein altes Bad und Schimmel in diesem. Auf die freundliche Frage, ob sie ein anderes bekommen könnte wurde recht unfreundlich geantwortet, dass es nicht möglich ist. Sehr schade, da das Haus an sich wirklich schön ist. "
