„We took a long weekend and stayed at The Lake House for the first time. This is a wonderful place. Peaceful and quiet, we enjoyed listening to the birds and watching the water. It was clean and comfortable and felt like home. Highly recommend!“

„Spent Halloween weekend in Elkader. Great accommodations and view of the Turkey River. Quiet and private. Hiked Effigy Mounds State Park, at Shera’s Algerian Restaurant, and visited the mall downtown. The latter two 2 minutes from our stay.“

„We had a great time unplugging in this cozy cabin with beautiful views. The boys had fun kayaking and I enjoyed taking walks around the pond. “

„Would have been helpful to have a manual on how to operate the ac system, the whirlpool tub, Wolf range. The refrigerator had not been cleaned. Had a Murder mystery dinner and the Inn was part of the setting. People in town were friendly with the exception of the brewery. It was handy to have restaurants menus available to review. Kids want to come back.“

„This is a beautiful property. Our whole family enjoyed the venue very much. We are seriously considering using it the next time we get together. It was close to everything that we wanted to attend and the house was amazing. A true oasis away from home. We definitely will try to use this place again.“

„Wonderfull clean and renovated 19th century bungalow. Super clean, great master bedroom and bath with comfy mattress. Petfect location, close to downtown Cedar Falls. Single downside was the tiny loft with tiny beds low ceiling. Good for kids only.“

„The property was very nice for our group, it was clean and updated. The location was great for us, close to both the nice CF downtown (check it out all with the ice cream shop across the bridge) as well as the main shopping area and key attractions like UNI. The neighborhood was extremely quiet, maybe due to the construction on the city street. Overall a great place to stay, I would recommend it.“

„We had a nice 5 day stay at this property. The home was nicely furnished, proving a cozy and comfortable atmosphere that made us feel right at home. The quiet neighborhood was perfect for a relaxing get away, yet it was conveniently located close to everything we needed. One of the highlights was the selection of toys and games available. It added a lot of fun to our evenings. We enjoyed the back yard while drinking our coffee in the sun room each morning.“

„We stayed at this home for a family gathering and it was perfect. The parent adults could be upstairs visiting and the college age adults could be in the basement. We had 12 people over 18 yrs old in the house and we had plenty of room to spread out.“

„We used the property for a girls weekend and absolutely loved it. The house is old with cute old-fashioned features like pocket doors, decorative wood posts, and embossed windows. The kitchen space is very modern, however. The beds were very comfy and the upstairs bathroom was very nice. We loved all of the seating around the firepit in the back. We felt very safe in the neighborhood - it's full of other cute old houses that are very nicely maintained. I can't think of any suggestions to ...
