„Das Haus liegt ruhig und etwas abseits der anderen Häuser im kleinen, beschaulichen Ort Thorpe bei Ashbourne. Um das Haus herum Wiesen und Berge, sehr gute Wandergelegenheiten in alle Richtungen. Das Haus war erstklassig ausgestattet und wunderschön. Der Pool und die Schwimmhalle waren durchweg beheizt und wahnsinnig toll! Ray war unglaublich hilfsbereit und nett! Wir würden definitiv wieder hier her kommen.“

„It is a really good property, just note it is down a long narrow road which was fine this morning on the daylight but a little harder to navigate when arriving in the dark. Lovely 4 poster bed, all amenities in the kitchen etc. Comfortable stay thank you. Would recommend “

„Very lovely cottage in small, quiet Bradwell. A warm welcome. Very friendly neighbours, nice pub a few metres down the road. We felt at home and would have loved to stay longer. Parking is available but a bit tricky, very steep roads and narrow bends - the smaller the car, the better! “

„Wir hatten einen schönen Aufenthalt im sehr gemütlichen Cottage. Die Terrasse haben wir, so oft das Wetter es möglich machte, genutzt. Das Einchecken und die freundliche Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter waren völlig problemlos. Das nette Bakewell lädt zum Bummeln und Pub - Einkehr ein. Für nahe gelegene Schlossbesichtigungen und Wanderungen ein idealer Ausgangspunkt! Wir würde es wieder wählen!“

„We spent a cold and wet weekend in the Peak District but, fortunately, the cottage had everything we needed and was lovely and warm after a cold walk.Lots of walks nearby and the walk from Bakewell to Chatsworth and back was lovely, despite the mud. Bakewell tart also a must. Would definitely stay at the cottage again. My only negative point was the difficulty of negotiating a wet and muddy dog with three wet and muddy adults in the small entrance hallway! A minor point when, over all, the ...

„A lovely weekend. Warm welcome (and warm cake!), a well equipped cottage and comfortable beds. We walked, we swam, we ate and we had a thoroughly good time. Looking forward to coming again. “

„My partner, dog and I enjoyed a lovely 3-night stay at the barn. It's comfortable and has everything you need for a lovely stay. The location is perfect – with plenty of scope for walking and pop visits. Only reason for the 4-star cleaning rating is an unclean grill with bacon smell on arrival (I'm not a fan of meat) – but definitely not a biggie and we'd highly recommend the barn.“

"Classy Hotel in an 18th Century Georgian architectural landmark which was saved by the Hotel Company. Went there first on a rushed business trip and went back half a year later to enjoy it finally with my partner. The pool is warm and not exactly for a sporty swimmer, but is nice with the opportunity to swim outdoors. Beds and Breakfast are excellent and up to the price. After finding the south of England more and more crowded, the Peak District is an area I was happy to discover."

War sicherlich mal was Besonderes

"Vorab, es war sauber. Jedoch kein Zimmerservice. WLAN kostet extra7€. Ebenso die angegebene Sauna und der Parkplatz. Die Fenster sind einfach verglast und beim Frühstück laufen zwei Durchlauf Toaster. Das tut schon fast weh was die Umwelt angeht. Die Einrichtung ist brauchbar jedoch nicht hochwertig."

"The room was a bit worn at some spots but it was clean and comfortable. They already started renovating the hotel which means that the management is aware of it. Breakfast selection was very good and parking at the hotel was very convenient. The staff was very friendly."
