"Das Himmer (3-Bett) hatte eine schöne Größe und war ruhig gelegen. Von der Straße hörte man kaum was. Das Personal war stets freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Essen war auch echt gut :) Morgens wie Abends. Das Stadtzentrum liegt 20 Minuten zu Fuß entfernt."

"This hotel is located superbly close to the inner city of Canterbury. You are literally a one minute walk away from the pedestrian zone. It is a little bit hard to find, but the staff is nice. The only problem is that there are no (free) parking spaces around. We were contacted a few days via e-mail before our stay by the hotel, which can provide you with a discount for one of the pay-parking lots."

"The lodge is a peace of heaven in the touristic town of Canterbury. The garden is wonderful and you can attend services easily and the evensongs each day at 5:30 pm in the cathedral. "

"Wir sind mit 3 Personen angereist mit 3 Motorrädern, es war unsere letzte Station, bevor wir wieder mit dem EuroShuttle zurückfahren mussten. Direkt bei der Ankunft wurden wir bereits auf unfreundliche Art angewiesen unsere Motorräder umzustellen. Als nächstes ging es dann weiter, dass wir am nächsten Morgen kein Frühstück bekämen, da wir zu früh auschecken mussten um noch den Zug zu bekommen, und es sei ja schließlich Wochenende und da gibt es vor 8:30 Uhr kein Frühstück. (Im Zimmer gab es ein Infozettel mit dem Hinweis, dass ein früheres Frühstück nach Absprache möglich sei) Eine Erstattung für das nicht eingenommene Frühstück gab es auch nicht Einen Hinweis, wohin mit den Schlüsseln beim Check-Out gab es nicht, Personal war ebenfalls nicht vor Ort. Nicht zu empfehlen ! "

"The hotel has it's own charme, directly located at the Cathedral, nicely polished up (since our last visit in 2007), offers very friendly service. The slightly complicated distribution of rooms is owed to the old historic building. No direct car parking in the vicinity, but unloading an loading possible. We sure will come back "
