Several issues did develop during our stay which were immediately addressed. The dish washer was repaired and worked fine for us. „We stayed for three nights over a long weekend, arriving on Friday night and leaving Monday morning. 8 adults and six kids between 5 and 12. Check-in was easy. Location right next to the brewery was great. House is very big and well laid out. It does indeed have great views. A couple of things held this back from being 5 stars. „The cabin was perfect for a few days of writing and reflecting! Everything was very clean and it was easy communicating with the owner. The house is not "secluded" as there are neighboring houses on two sides and if I hadn't brought an ax/saw to cut my own dry wood enjoying a fire wouldn't have been possible. But overall a lovely stay and I look forward to going again!“

„The place was very clean. Soaps and towels were in excess. I did not take in the water views from the inside as I expected but it was all there. The back yard was nicely fenced in and a privacy wall in place. Good place for a family to stay with small children and pets. Hiking trails were close by but down a steep hill. „We made a great choice in choosing the Riverfront Retreat for our Thanksgiving celebration. The large dining table fit our group and its close proximity to the kitchen made serving and cleanup a breeze. One bedroom is set apart from the others which worked perfectly for one couple who ducked out at 5am to catch a flight out of Dulles (about an hours drive) without disturbing others in the group. We enjoyed hiking in Seven Bends State Park and even toured the Shenandoah Caverns (a short drive). ...
