„We stayed from Friday the 15th until Sunday the 17th! It was NOT long enough! The location of this cabin is absolutely perfect! If you're looking for a cabin away from everything, this is IT! Its so peaceful you can hear the leaves crunch from the animals in the woods. We enjoyed every minute of it. We went for our anniversary and decided we will make it a tradition every year to go back. We were unable to build a fire even though we paid $30 for the wood. The wood was not left and it says not ...

I would suggest updating the pots and pans that previous guests have ruined with metal utensils, and some WD40 on the patio doors, but there is nothing that would discourage me from returning! „We had an absolutely wonderful and much-needed respite. Some areas of the property needed a little more attention, such as the yard (several large piles of pet waste), kitchen (the refrigerator and some dishes in the cabinet were dirty), and bathroom (the shower curtain needed replacing due to mildew). „Exactly what we were looking for: a laid-back, quiet location for restorative downtime. Love the house. Just what a lake house should be -- cozy, clean, and most of all rustic and not fussy. Love the vintage furniture, decor, and very clean. Only constructive criticism is the large bed could be more comfy, but then I'm pretty persnickety about beds. „We stayed 2 nights in this quaint little cabin. We came to see the fall foliage in DeSoto State Park and Little River Canyon. We were not disappointed. The Cabin is far enough out to feel privacy, but close enough to get to Ft Payne in a short time. The cabin is perfect for couples, but be prepared to climb a steep ladder to the loft and twin beds if your group is more than 2 people. „As my son just said, "loved the view". Four bedrooms for 4 adults was perfect. Every bed was comfy. I slept all nite which is not the usual for me. Also, had my dog with me. He loved the yard. Dog bowls and bed were provided which was very nice. Most of all the four of us agree that the home was super clean! Very much appreciated! „Host was super! Communication was early, clear, and as thorough as I needed. House was as advertised and more! Located central to trails, sites, restaurants and all the area has to offer. Would highly recommend! “

„Al's Nest is, as always, the highlight of our trip to the mountains. Close enough to everything to enjoy an afternoon outing. Secluded enough to get away from it all. Comfortable, clean, and cozy.“

„Property was clean and well stocked with extras. Plenty of extra towels, sheets, pillows, toilet paper, paper towels, etc. The only thing missing was something to use as a chip clip for open bags of snacks but there was a roll of tape in the drawer so all needs were met! The location is perfect. The Citadel boulders were a great surprise. We enjoyed exploring. We would choose this property again.“

„We have stayed in this cabin multiple times and have enjoyed staying each time. One thing that needs corrected is the insulation in the vents. When the air blows it the goes through insulation which is a respiratory hazard. Please fix.“
