„The home offers a nice interior renovation with a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. However, the surrounding area is less than desirable. On the bright side, it was a short, easy drive to our event, which made the location convenient for our needs. Host was very responsive!“

„My wife and I stayed here over a long weekend and were very impressed with the property. Inside was very clean and well maintained. The jet tub in the upstairs bedroom was a pleasant and the the bedroom itself felt spacious but cozy. The kitchen was small but had everything needed to make your own meals. The property is down a long paved lane so it feels secluded and has a beautiful view of the river below. We saw lots of wildlife. The house also has very fast internet which was a nice ...

„We traveled to visit my kiddo who is a student at Olivet. This trip was by far the best! Normally we are cramped up in a hotel eating out at every meal except for the free 'mid' breakfast, scrolling thru their cable channels trying to figure out what to do or what to watch while sitting in bed. All the while listening to the neighbors upstairs walk on their heels and the cleaning people slam the vacuum into the door. Never again! This cute little house was absolutely perfect for us! Very clean ...

„We appreciated the clearing off of the snow that fell while we were there, as well as putting salt on the driveway and steps. The one problem we had was on arrival we couldn't figure out how to find the keypad to type in the password for entrance. Otherwise we had a very nice time there.“

„There was 14 in our family now and we’ve outgrown our home in Dwight, Illinois. This was perfect size for everyone to have their own rooms and plenty of space. The children thought it was great!“

„Home was very clean and spacious. Had everything we needed for a 2-night stay to visit my son at Olivet Nazarene University. it was within a 5 min drive to his apartment on campus. Centrally located. Will keep this on our list of places to stay again next time we're in town! “

„Nice 2 bedroom and 2 bathroom plus an office with a comfy couch. Everything was clean, very well maintained and equipped with thoughtful amenities. The bedrooms have nice natural lighting, ceiling fans and quite comfortable king sized beds. It was perfect for our family!“

„This is a very cute, little place and seriously for the price it is amazing. It was perfect for what we needed. A place to sleep while we visited my daughter at the University. Is it luxury? No but it was clean, cute and a BARGAIN! You cannot beat it. There are other places out there that are gross and sooooo much more expensive. I would do it again in a heartbeat!“

„From the first communication with Shari, I knew this would be a good visit. What I didn't realize was how magical the experience would be. Shari welcomed us to the house and gave us a bit of history. It was the perfect setting for celebrating the Christmas holidays with family: my son and daughter-in-law, their newborn son, my elderly in-laws, and my DIL's parents. Many happy memories were made in this historical house on the river. It was a visit we will never forget!“

„Nice place for a quick visit to Bourbonnais. The furniture and bedding was nice, clean and comfy. The kitchen had good coffee to get started for the weekend and some games which we enjoyed playing around the table. We would stay here again. The only reason we didn’t do 5 stars for cleanliness is due to a pretty dusty air return grate located in the living room. Obviously an easy fix. “

„My friend and I visited for a wedding. The cottage had all we needed for a comfortable weekend. Loved having coffee on the deck overlooking the river!“
