„Wonderful thoughtful hosts. More than average amenities. They thought of all the little things to make our stay comfortable. Very cute little cottage and great location for our purposes. Definitely need a car though. Really good food at the pub and convenient to have a little store right next door. “

„The room I had was roomy and clean, bathroom/shower again clean and spacious. Equipment and white goods suited my needs. Entrance to the room a little dark as outside lights didn't react early enough. Overall I would book again if in that area.“

„Spacious, comfortable cottage on a quite road within walking distance of the shops and eateries of Oakham. Rutland Water is a short drive away with its famous Ospreys, the main reason for our visit doWater us a very short drive away“

„Great stay but not entirely suitable for a wheelchair. Had to remove the rims from my chair and two small steps inside were a bit annoying but nevertheless we will be back. Booking agent fee was excessive adding almost £100 to the cost“

„The cottage is wonderful restored and was exactly what is promised in the pictures. The hosts were just as nice. Starting from the cottage you find some nice footpaths or reach famous cities like Nottingham, Manchester or York within max 2 hours.“

„Beautifully clean , excelently equipped, beds very comfortable, nice welcome tray and milk in the fridge very thoughtful.. Our arrival was delayed because of a road traffic accident and sadly I didn't have telephone contact details for our host so I couldn't let her know but she was very inderstanding when we arrived.“

„It was a very clean and well presented property, owner lived near by and was very helpful and friendly.“

„Good points - very dog friendly, easily accessible shared garden area, comfy bed, powerful shower, excellent curry delivered from next door Niggles - large green light permanently on in the ceiling, flooded the whole room with a green glow that kept us awake. Very thin walls which are not great when the guests in the neighbouring room stay up until 2am, no ventilation (no window to open) so very stuffy even in December“

„Wir haben zwei Nächte als Zwischenstation in der Unterkunft verbracht. Für uns war es der perfekte Ort um durchzuatmen und abzuschalten. John ist der perfekte Gastgeber! Wer länger in der Umgebung bleiben möchte den können wir das Haus nur wärmstens empfehlen. Liebevoll eingerichtetete Unterkunft mit allem was man so braucht.“

„Location good as we came to go to a family party in Castor. Rooms spacious, furnishing basic We booked for a party of 8, however there were only 6 dining chairs, 6 metal knives and only 5 mugs, of which one had a broken handle. So, provision of equipment was not adequate for the party size booked. There was no check-in information provided. A code for the key safe was e-mailed and sent via text at 1pm of day of arrival, but we had no notice that this was to be the process and we had to chase ...
