„Our stay at the treehouse was fantastic! They had firewood already cut. We built a big campfire and cooked steak dinner on their BBQ pit. The place came with every thing we needed to cook and clean up. It was a great experience. Planning on going back next year!“

„Cozy, charming home that is well maintained. Very clean and comfortable. The beds and linens were fantastic. The Ice cream shop had incredible treats, and the staff was very friendly. We would absolutely stay in The Chestnut house again! Thank you for the extended stay offer as well. Unfortunately, we had to get back to work. “

„We originally booked the cabin so we could hike for the weekend. It ended up raining most of the time due to the effects of Hurricane Helene. We packed books and puzzles and had a wonderful time just relaxing away from all the noise. We were able to enjoy one afternoon out as well. Great stay! “

„My husband and I took our 3 sons ( 22 years old and twins that are 19). The cabin was perfect! It was very hot outside while we were there ( between 92-95 degrees every day but the AC kept up great and I was thankful for that! They have put a lot of wonderful touches and finishes on this cabin. It was very clean and comfortable. We loved the son porch that overlooked the river. We also loved the fire pit in the evenings. The cabin was even better in person than in photos. The mercantile store ...

„Very enjoyable stay ... perfect size for my husband and I ... everything we needed. We spent a lot of time on the cute front porch enjoying nature from our seat on the glider. LOVED the swing hanging from the oak tree branch (took me back to my childhood). The neighborhood cat came over for a visit. My husband saw a hummingbird every morning. Roasted hotdogs and made s'mores at the firepit. Cabin was clean. Only down side was the 2 queen beds were up in the loft ... the ladder/stairs were ...

„My sister and I stayed for two nights. The cabin was exactly as advertised, very welcoming and comfortable. We had a fire one night and used the hot tub the next! We spent one day exploring and were close to many of the places we wanted to visit. One unique aspect was the book in the cabin that others who stayed, wrote in. It was helpful to guide our day of hiking. We will be BACK! If I had to complain, it went by too fast. “

„My husband and I booked this beautiful property to celebrate his birthday, and it was absolutely wonderful! The view of the lake is amazing, it was so quiet and peaceful - we saw cranes, ducks and turtles in the lake. Loved the bar / gazebo in the backyard and the dock, the fireplace was so lovely and the property was spotlessly clean! The owners were so kind and left a balloon and a birthday card and some chocolate for my husband, made him smile big time! :) We can't wait to go back! “

„This cabin is adorable and had all the amenities of home. It was very clean and the property itself was beautiful. It was very quiet, and was perfect for a small family. We opted to sleep on the pullout couch as the loft beds required climbing a steep ladder. This wouldn't be practical trying to get to bathroom at night. Please know the cabin is located next to another home, but we never saw anyone at that home while we were there. It is a very remote location if you want seclusion.“

„Cute, quiet place near Shawnee National Forest. A few neighborhood dogs came to hang out on the porch at night but they were very friendly.“
