„We were a group of 8, 4 adults 4kids. Bedroom layouts worked great. Living area away from bedrooms. The house was really warm. The mountain and sea view was my main reason for choosing to stay here as I grew up with the exact view, but a km up the road.“

„Truly a special place, you won’t see Kaikōura the way you see it until you stay in this place. We had the most bliss long weekend, the place resonates why we love being full of character, rustic but class! It’s beyond. And our host goes above and beyond, even taught us how to catch cray fish by craypots! You know when they say “best of both worlds” this is it! Bush, mountain, sea, river! It’s in your doorstep! Can’t wait to come back! xx “

„Das Cottage war einfach eingerichtet, für einen kurzen Aufenthalt aber ausreichend. Es ist keine Klimaanlage vorhanden. Die South Bay ist abseits vom Ortszentrum (40 Min. Fussweg), es sind keine Geschäfte oder Restaurants in der Nähe. Dafür ist es ruhig und es hat keinen Strassenlärm.“

„We were comfortable enough during our stay. But we had misunderstood as we thought the home was just by the beach or sea. It took about 10 minutes drive to the Beach.We were able to watch a colony of seals; in fact seals are quite easily spotted along th Kaikoura Coastline. But not dolphins or penguins Our host, Eric was very responsive, and we had given some feedback, which we felt may help him for future guests.“

„An old "dog friendly" cottage that has been modernized with double glazed windows, heat pump, new appliances (fridge, microwave, stove, tv ....). Very comfortable stay. It is opposite the boat launch and they launch boats from 4:00 am so take some earplugs. Good value for money.“
