„We stayed 8 days and will definitely return. Beautiful pool, house, property, lagoon for swimming, and surrounded by natural beauty. We met the owners twice and they were very friendly. They even had an anniversary cake delivered for my wife’s sister’s anniversary mid week. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We must have spent 3 hours EVERY day in that pool :-) Absolutely wonderful experience!“

„The place is welcoming and makes you feel at home. Amenities are fine, speedy WiFi, warm water. Buy your food in the small pulperias and have a chat with the local people, there is no supermarket in Catarina. I would easily spend a couple of weeks there. The housekeeper Juan is of great help with all practicalities. Thank you Paula. “

„Laguna de Apoyo is truly a paradise location. Birds and sometimes monkeys and iguanas coming close.The next door hotel is not functioning, so the place is quite calm.Swimming in the Laguna is a incredible treat!Unfortunately 'La Giralda' really needs investment and renovation.The air conditioning is so noisy that it is impossible to use. It definitely fit my needs - comfortable self contained unit with kitchen, not directly in tourist zone, 10-15 min walk to restaurants, grocery stores & market, pool, reliable wifi, good fans, quiet location. "Had to stay here due to an injury and was glad to be able to have an accessible room and a wheelchair. Comfy bed, great breakfast. Free coffee in the lobby. Amazing food court right next to the hotel was concenient as there is no food other than breakfast in the hotel. Hotel and the rooms are a bit dated and could use an upgrade and replacement of the carpet. "

"Der Mann an der Rezeption war extrem unhöflich und wollte mir nucht das gebuchte Zimmer mit 2 getrennten Betten geben, ich brauchte dafür einige Zeit ihn zu überzeugen. Die Aufmerksamkeit der Bedienungen ist nicht immer gegeben. Die Musik am Pool ist extrem laut, an relaxen und ausruhen ist da nicht zu denken. Der Speisesaal ist sehr kalt. Das Frühstücksbuffet läßt sehr zu wünschen übrig. Gut ist die Nähe zum Airport ( genau gegenüber) der Shuttlebus zum Airport, da dort gerade Erdbewegungen im Gange sind."

"Late Check out problemlos möglich. Kaffeemaschine im Executive Room, aber kein Kaffee. Das Badezimmer war sehr alt. Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Der Ausblick vom Zimmer war nicht gut. Nur ein kleines Fenster. "
