„Wir haben im Juli 2022 3 Wochen im Castle verbracht und haben es sehr genossen! Für uns hat alles perfekt gepasst! Der Bau, die Ausstattung und die einmalige Lage mit der wunderbaren Aussicht machen diese FeWo einzigartig. Wir haben viele Ausflüge in der näheren und weiteren Umgebung gemacht. Sind zum Meer herunter gelaufen, haben die Ruhe genossen. Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich und unkompliziert. Es ist definitiv ein Ort um wieder einmal hinzugehen.“

Das Fischerhaus befindet sich in dem kleinen Ort Staithes (direkt an der Nordseeküste) und ist ein niedlicher, charmanter Küstenort. Der Ort ist fantastisch zum enstapannen, als Ausgangsort für Ausflüge und zum Wandern. Nun zum Haus selber. Das Fischerhaus ist in Staithes selber sehr zentral gelegen, direkt am Weg zum Parkplatz. „Das Cottage liegt auf einer Farm abgelegen im North York Moore National Park, sodass wir von dort direkt loswandern konnten. Auf eine Detailanfrage hatte die Wirtin nicht reagiert, der Empfang aber war problemlos: Nicht nur war sie anwesend, sondern unser Cottage war offen und schon mit unserem Namen gekennzeichnet, sodass wir auch noch spät in der Nacht hätten ankommen können. „Great affordable student accommodation. The space was exactly as advertised. The kitchen worked well, and i was able to prepare my own meals. Excellent wifi and plenty of outlets in the space. One of the best accommodations I've stayed in, and far better than even my own university housing.“

„Very friendly reception from the landlord Gareth who provided a most enlivening atmosphere in the Duke of Wellington ie a darts match for the men and Easter wreath making for the ladies. No food unfortunately but we found an excellent Italian restaurant in nearby Northallerton. The courtyard room was clean and comfortable, marred only by a very awkward shower - not easy to enter, due to lack of space.“

„We had a fabulous week - the views from the cottage were beautiful, it was cosy and well equipped with everything we could need. Rural location but just a short walk down the footpath (15 mins) to a couple of lovely pubs. Easy to get to the coast for day trips too. “

„We found the property clean but lacking, certainly not "Superb". The decor was sparse e.g. bare light bulbs. Negatives Bathroom: no mirror, no towel rails, only one hand towel in the property for three. Kitchen: Two sets of knives & forks for three, no large glasses or wine glasses, no fire blanket/extinguisher, no downstairs smoke alarm I could spot. „we have been coming to staithes for years and this cottage did not disappoint. The photos on the site do not do it justice at all. warm and cosy , immaculately clean and everything you need for a weekend away. we will definitely book again “
