„We were three couples (us & our adult children) in town for family wedding. Close walk into Nevada City. House has both nice outdoor and indoor space so you are not all on top of each other. Living room area with porch was great space for a gathering of our two families before going out to dinner. Lots of family fun games and well stocked kitchen supplies. Appreciated the iron! Nancy wedding. “

„This property/cabin was perfect for our short visit.1 block off old town, easy walking distance. Visited Washington(town) off 49 to the north and back down to Grass Valley. Nevada City still has an old town feel to the old town area. A little disappointed in Grass valley, it's lost that. Sure the buildings are old but the closure and modernization of old town just lost a lot of appeal for me.“

„Great house, accommodating host! Beautiful location! Highly recommend!“

„Rural setting. Quiet. Great hillside views. Lovely deck for early morning coffee. Lots of wild life ( goats, wild turkeys). Plenty of room inside.“

„Super cozy cabin and lovely location. I had a great time and wish I could have spent more time there. The wifi worked fine, and it was not a serious issue for me but it’s important to know that AT&T (at least for me) does not have cell reception there.“

„The pictures almost don’t do it justice! A very cool construction with three domes (each absorbs its own sound) with a very spacious, open kitchen-living room area perfect for gatherings. We were there to celebrate Friendsgiving ( college friends celebrating 16+ years of this get together and 20 years of friendship). Now there are a lot of kids in the mix. We stayed in November. House would be even better in the summer when the pool would be more appealing, but we had a great time enjoying the ...

„This was a very comfortable place to spend a few days in a beautiful setting. Weather was warmer than expected, but the house had numerous fans and the temperature dropped quickly at sunset. My wife and I, along with our four adult children and two young grandchildren were all relaxed and happy. Our niece’s wedding was close by, so the location could not have been better. Our host was very quick to reply to any questions. “

„The screened back porch was a lovely place to hang out and listen to the creek after a day of hiking. Everything is very comfortable: the bed, the couch and the porch chairs. “

„Just minutes from town this was an awsome place to stay . The camper had much more than we expected. Spent time at Scott’s Flat Lake on the paddle boards , our favorite place to be on the water, huge plus is it is just down the road . Host was great ! We would definitely stay there again . “

„The house and property are beautiful and perfectly located. Deer and wild turkeys came right to the house. The Yuba river is at the end of the road you drive up on, you just gotta keep driving even when you hit the narrow dirt road. We went for Grass Valley but fell in love with Nevada City. Papa Bear was much bigger than we needed but we love space, and it had plenty of it. We got to sit on the backyard porch and watch the deer. You are in the deep woods, yet only about 3 miles away or so from ...

„Beautiful views, spacious and nicely appointed interior. Only drawback is there are a lot of steep stairs getting to and from the house itself to the street or to the dock!“

„Truly a unique, beautiful and peaceful property about 10 minutes outside of downtown Nevada City -- surrounded by trees, mossy rocks, and creek views, with many visiting wild turkeys throughout our stay !! “

„It was warm and cozy inside, plenty of space, great interior. “

„It was tiny bit tough to get a shower inside a vintage tub, to be honest. And I wish there's a bit more space around the sink I can place my toothbrush those stuff. Otherwise, all perfect 👍“

"Schöne Unterkunft im Wald, Zimmer wie auf den Bildern, großes Bad, Blick in den Wald, schönes Grundstück. Besonders gutes Frühstück, dass frisch zubereitet wurde. Das Beste, dass wir in den USA hatten. Leider haben wir keinen Bär gesichtet. Selbst-Check in ist auch zu späteren Uhrzeit möglich"
