„The photos of the home were accurate. It was very roomy and nicely furnished. The owner was easy to communicate with. If you’re going in the winter be aware that the house is at the end of long private road which was a bit daunting with the snow. “

„House was perfect for our needs -- a long parents weekend visit to Colgate. Not exactly Colgate adjacent, but convenient to the airport, Syracuse and right on Lake Oneida and 30 min to Colgate. Just down the road from Verona Beach State Park and it's possible to keep walking to Sylvan Beach -- and with perfect fall weather it was an amazing walk. House was great to cook in and made for a fine remote work location. I only wish we'd made better use of the she shed /man cave b/c it is an awesome ...

„Amazing cabin in the woods. Carol and Dan were amazing making sure we had everything that we needed. Which we did. They provided everything for modern living. We didn’t leave the cabin we did have some adventures in the rain and snow on the property. Our dogs were exhausted by day three. We saw otters playing on the lake, large beaver and some deer. Very quiet. Perfect place to go if you are looking somewhere to get away from the noise! Especially on New Year’s Eve. We cannot say enough ...

„We had a wonderful time joining family and staying in this cozy home for a few days. Prior to check-in, the owner gave us more specific, helpful directions as to the exact location. Walking distance to the lake, firepit available for use near shore, chairs to use outside, and a porch with outside seating was very handy. We had plans within Syracuse for one day and stayed at the house another. Plenty of games available. We will definitely consider staying here again. Small suggestions to improve ...

„Could have been a 5 star rating but:1. we had to shovel 5 inches of snow from walkway and deck to get in the house2. Very small amount of toilet paper. Had to go to the store the first evening we arrived. 3. The request to leave an empty dishwater, beds stripped, garbage removed AND to take with us, and floors vacuumed and swept was a bit much. The house is very cute, comfortable and in close proximity to everywhere we wanted to go. “

„The house was beautiful and spacious, the views even more gorgeous. Property was large with lots of space for my dog to run to her hearts content. It was nice and quiet, perfect for getting away to relax. Groceries and food were 30 minutes or less away. Would love to stay here again!“

„This is quite possibly the most perfect property that we've ever booked. Between the gorgeous view, the comprehensively stocked kitchen, and the beautiful and even quirky decorating style, this one is at the top of our list. And to top it off Heather was a joy to deal with. Our schedule caused us to make multiple booking changes, and she had no issue with accommodating us. This is now our go-to in Syracuse. “

„So initially finding The Haven in the daylight was a bit challenging, so I'm sure at night would be difficult. Other than that it was absolutely amazing. It was clean and the lions were extremely active. They called and moved our room before we arrived as the lions were hanging out by room number two. And, we sure did appreciate that.
