"Rakuten villa nikko is like my dreamhouse. Everything you can possibly need are provided. The villa itself makes for a perfect vacation villa with breakfast on the lanai, beautiful TV and sofa area, wonderful setting, sauna and onsen bath. The relaxation area outside the bath smells like you are in the forest! My only complaint would be the checkin email which was never sent. As we need it to get inside the villa. If it was sent automatically, everything would be perfect."

"The place was super clean and comfortable. Close to the Kinugawa Onsen Station. However it’s a bit far if your main interest is to go see the shrines in Nikko. No convenience stores nearby. It would take good 20 min to walk to the nearest grocery store. 2 min by car. It’s a great place if you have a car. "

"We absolutely loved staying at the cottage! Yoshiko is an incredible host, going above and beyond in every way to make sure you have a comfortable stay. She picked us up from the train station and dropped us off, and spent time explaining the history, culture, and sights to see in Nikko. The cottage is in the perfect location, quiet, near the Daiya river, and walkable to many shrines and cultural sites. It's also walkable to many delicious local restaurants! We would definitely stay here again,...

"This is one of the best stays we had. The house was magical. Comfortable beds, spotless clean, quiet. Host was really nice. We slept very well. We loved the Japanese family table. "

"We had a wonderful stay at this house located just off the main street in Nikko. The owner is very kind and responsive. It is a large house with three large bedrooms, a living room area, a separate full kitchen, large bathroom with washer, and lots of windows. I liked that the main living area is on the first floor (not the ground level) and the bedrooms are on the second level. The ground level is the garage. You do have to climb stairs to get in and out of the house but that wasn’t an issue...

"We had a hard time looking for the place becoz it was named sunrise on the web but when we tried to stop at the house named kikuchi village...it was the property...it is also not a 7mins walk to nasu highland park... "
