„Cute, quiet place near Shawnee National Forest. A few neighborhood dogs came to hang out on the porch at night but they were very friendly.“

„We greatly enjoyed our stay! I ran the 100 mile race, so this place served as our home base. It had everything we needed. Just be warned - there is no WiFi! We made do and it wasn’t an issue, but we completely missed that in the property description.“

„Overall great house/management company. It was clean and had a good amount of space. The people I talked with were nice and explained any details clearly. Only complaints about the house were some ladybugs inside and the internet not working (resetting didn’t work). Also, at night people kept taking the limited parking we did have, so it was tight.“

„It's a cute little cabin for a weekend in the shawnee park. Its exactly as pictured. Its actually bigger than it looks. Very quiet. We loved it“

„This cabin is adorable and had all the amenities of home. It was very clean and the property itself was beautiful. It was very quiet, and was perfect for a small family. We opted to sleep on the pullout couch as the loft beds required climbing a steep ladder. This wouldn't be practical trying to get to bathroom at night. Please know the cabin is located next to another home, but we never saw anyone at that home while we were there. It is a very remote location if you want seclusion.“

We might have to plan a trip to bring our boat next summer. A special thanks to our host for being so welcoming and quick to respond to all of our questions. “

„Overall was good. You can see they are still renovating so there were some little things but nothing major.“

„The house was very clean. Linens were in great shape! Towels were amazing. We loved the basket of blankets/throws. The small pool table was a huge hit! Everyone played at some point of our visit. Kitchen was well stocked with dishes, cookware, etc. We wished the weather had been warmer so we could have used the outdoor space. Lake view was beautiful & relaxing. We would rent again if we are meeting in Southern Illinois. Our group came from NW Indiana, Chicago and Atlanta.“

„My family wanted a quiet place in the garden of the gods for our familys Girls Birthday Retreat(mother me and daughter all within a week). This place is like home away from home plus some. Has room for the whole family. Full kitchen and a game room! A hot tub for max relaxing. r Rockers for good ole porch sitting sessions. A fire pit grill and a gorgeous yard with a view to boot.
