„This is our second stay for a fishing trip to Lake Rathbun and it will be our "go to" place on any future trips. Wives would even be excited about staying here! Some of the deigner decorating maybe lost on us. Convenient for parking boats and close to the lake. Good place!“

The vinyl collection and record player was a very nice way to wind down the evening and have a great nights sleep! I highly recommend this listing! “

„Family stay for Truman State University event.“

„This is a very cute place to stay, especially if you love antiques and history. A perfect get away for anyone wanting quiet and, perhaps, reading or study time. There is no TV, and due to the antique decor, I wouldn’t recommend this as a place for kids.“

„My son and daughter in law stayed here for one night after their wedding. They enjoyed the simplicity and were able to walk the nearby trails the next morning. Perfect little getaway for the newlyweds!“

„We drove in from St. Louis. Less than 5 minutes to KCOM and Truman state. The recommendations in the guest booklet were great- but we would like to add that we ate at La Pa and loved it! Bethany and her husband were very responsive to my questions and requests. The bunk bed had a railing and felt safe. My 4 year old slept in the bottom and it was great. You do hear some noise from the neighbors but it wasn’t keeping us from going to sleep! “

„I never made it to the property. I was on my way to a funeral and got stuck in Chicago. These people have a big heart and actually helped me with a refund even though they didn’t have too. It speaks volumes on actually caring of others. I would highly recommend any of there properties.“

„My Husband said the property was nice. He did wish that there were some sort of curtains or blinds in the downstairs.“

„You could not ask for more beautiful place on the lake with walking paths and privacy. The accommodations for enjoying the outdoor space was great. The cabin was well stocked and comfortable. We enjoyed kayaking and fishing. We caught several small fish but we eventually found some large Crappies bass, and catfish. It was one week of total relaxation and heaven.“
