„The kids loved being right at the lake, swimming whenever they wanted to. In the house was plenty of room for the five of us and we found everything we needed. One star less for the relatively close neighbours and the loud weekend "traffic" on the lake. Overall we had a great stay and enjoyed it a lot!“

The cabin was warm, and beautifully maintained with a great view of the property. We especially loved relaxing in the hot tub while watching the sunset. „Loved the rental! It is in excellent condition and the location is centrally located making it a convenient drive to Mattoon or Decatur. Sunsets were beautiful across the open fields. Will definitely be looking at using this location for family visits in the future. Thank you so much! “

„It started with 6 friends to celebrate my 70th birthday. 2 friends from out of state surprised me and slso a surprise party. This house was perfect! Very well stocked, comfortable and enough room to spread out to play cards or visit. I would definitely book again! And the host responded very quickly. We loved the scenery with the snow and watching the wildlife.“

„The property was very nice and clean. We had a small issue, but we found the property manager’s phone number in a binder and she responded to us immediately and had the issue resolved within half an hour. I would absolutely rent this Vrbo again and my family that was staying with me is also considering renting it.“

What a fantastic weekend of memories in a little slice of God’s Country. Cannot say enough. Our group is planning on making this an annual trip as long as the hosts keep it available. Just WOW!“

„This is our second time at this property. Plenty of room for our three adult (20s) children and their person. Close to effingham for dinner, grocery, etc but quiet neighborhood. Greet neighborhood to walk the dog and just relax. Will definitely stay again“
