„Wir waren sehr überrascht über den sehr sauberen Zustand des Hauses. Des weiteren über die Annehmlichkeit für die ersten Tagen Verpflegung vorzu-finden!!! (auch in Irland nicht überall). Beege war für uns immer zu erreichen und sie hatte auch eine Lösung. Obwohl wir eine umfassende Anfahrtsliste hatten, haben wir das Cottage nicht gefunden. „The property was clean and cosy, but the listing was misleading. The exterior photos showed a small house surrounded by green fields, whereas the actual accommodation was in a studio room behind a family home in their back garden. If we had known this beforehand, we likely would have booked elsewhere.“

„Insgesamt eine sehr schöne Unterkunft und eine sehr freundliche, hilfsbereite Gastgeberin. Vielen Dank! Die Zimmer sind großzügig und es gibt ein großes Außengelände. Das Haus liegt etwas abseits mit Blick auf den Atlantik (in der Ferne) und hinterm Haus die Berge - sehr schön. Die Straße ist trotz der Abgelegenheit zeitweilig sehr gut befahren und zum Pub sind wir aufgrund der Distanz und der schmalen Straße nicht zu Fuß gegangen.“

„We spend a week in the annex. It is a perfect apartment for two. The booking, the communication with Sheila, the "chef in" all was simple. The appartment was clean and comfortable. Sheila left enough information on close by shopping and things to do. The proximity to the beach and the beach pup made evening was a pleasure. I highly recommend the place. Regards Roland“

Note - if you are from the US some of the heating and water terminology will confound you so ask questions of the host. There are instructions but are tricky if you are new to these systems. „Die Kommunikation mit der Vermieterin war sehr freundlich und unkompliziert. Die Ferienwohnung ist groß, hat aber ihre besten Tage hinter sich. Das Bad entspricht nicht dem deutschen Standard, die Küche ist groß und man findet alles, was man benötigt, allerdings hier und da auch ein wenig schmuddelig. Die Betten waren bequem. „Bill and I spent another incredible two weeks at Hilltown. The family connection is so important to us! We enjoyed walking the strands with old and new friends, meeting up for lunch dates with Bill’s cousin, visiting other cousins and friends! Our friends, who traveled with us,thouroghly enjoyed the comforts afforded at Hilltown, the beauty of the country-side and exploring what Donegal has to offer. „Ballydevitt Retreat is a comfortable home away from home in a great location. It is removed from the business of the town but an easy walk to the town Diamond. The home is spacious and comfortable. Paula, the host, communicates very quickly and is excellent at making sure guests have all their questions answered. I highly recommend this as a place to stay while exploring County Donegal.“
