„We spent a couple of nights at this lovely quaint cabin while traveling through Tennessee. It far exceeded our expectations. A wonderful place to sit back, relax, watch the snow fall and be entertained by the peacocks, read and just enjoy the beauty of the property. Very clean, comfortable, warm and we loved hearing the history of the property. We look forward to returning again as we visit Tennessee. “

„The house felt like home upon arrival. We weren’t too far from town but away from traffic! The sight and sound of the river running through the backyard was relaxing. Homeowner left detailed instructions and information. We will be renting again next time we are in the area. “

The property suffers somewhat from a lack of regular attention -- although this may be because it was the off season. Most of the accoutrements are what you would expect from a mid-range, budget-conscious place to stay, while others (including the pool table and the boats) clearly are more in the "luxury stay" category. „If you're looking to escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, look no further. The Lake Hideaway Chalet is the place to be. A cozy A-frame home nestled in the hillside, secluded from the outside world with a beautiful view of the Watauga Lake. The LHC has all the amenities you need, including kayaks and canoe. An ample deck provides a beautiful spot to gather and enjoy the scenery. Our week stay at the end of February was a wonderful way to rest, relax and recharge.“

„Overall the place is nice and we enjoyed our stay. 3 King beds is a huge asset. The hot tub and family room are really nice as well. There is no keyless entry which is a bit of a pain and only one key provided. “

„We stayed at this property to be close to family we were visiting. The home was very clean and we appreciated the layout- big kitchen open to the living room. Rocking chairs on the front porch were nice. There was a dog that lived nearby that was on the property/porch whenever we came home. He was very friendly. Heavier blankets would have been nice as the beds only had a sheet and a thin bedspread, no additional linens were in the closets. Overall we would stay here again for the location and ...

„Absolutely the most relaxing and worry free trip I have every experienced. Cabin is perfect and had exactly as posted amenities. PO was very accessible and checked in several times to ensure we had no problems. As an added treat, seven deer standing in the yard the morning we departed. “

„We stayed at the A-frame cabin. The cabin interiour ist quite nice and well equipped, however you should be aware it is very tiny. The bathroom/outhouse is approx. 30m away and equipped quite rudimentary. Activities require some driving. In extended periods of rain that should be considered. The place ist still developping (new Houses being built) and could develop nicely. Staff was friendly and helpful.“
